LOS ANGELES (AP)—Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman(notes) will replace the Trail Blazers’ Brandon Roy(notes) in this weekend’s All-Star game.

Roy injured his right hamstring last month. Roy, in his fourth season with the Blazers, made the All-Star team as a reserve for the third straight season.

Kaman will be making his first All-Star appearance.

Rajon Rondo's inaugural visit to the NBA All-Star Game will tip off in exciting fashion, as the Celtics point guard has been chosen to participate in the second annual H-O-R-S-E competition, according to WEEI.com. The Web site reports that Rondo confirmed his selection at practice on Monday.

Rondo will be joined by Kings rookie Omri Casspi and defending champion Kevin Durant.

Last year's competition took place on an outdoor court, but this year's will be held inside the American Airlines Center as part of All-Star Saturday Night.

Kaman really does deserve to be in it, 20PPG 9RPG is damn good considering Amare is the starting center for the West averaging 21PPG and 8RPG.
