Josh Smith calls Rondo rumors 'sick joke' -Celtics blog - Boston Globe basketball news

Rajon didn’t talk much about it but let me do it for him,” Smith said. “It’s mind-boggling to me to see people talking about getting rid of a player who [dang]-near broke his arm during the playoffs last year for his team and kept playing. We’re talking about arguably the best player in the playoffs for his team energy-wise, defensively and offensively.
It’s a sick joke. For anyone to talk about getting rid of him, one of the elite point guards in this league and a true point who passes first and shoots second … it just reminds me of what I already knew, that the NBA is strictly a business. They can try to make it as family oriented as they want to, but at the end of the day it’s a business. And the fact is there is no loyalty in the NBA or any other profession. It’s always business.”

leagues always been "what have you done for me lately" and it will always be. Couldn't imagine Rondo being in any other jersey but that Celtics green.

Josh Smith like Shaq is another player who knows how great Rondo is because he played with him. He knows he's the best to ever do it

it's a big deal because whenever you decide to treat it like a business and go to the place that's the best for YOU, peope start throwing !! fits about you need to show loyalty to a city and fans

E.g., Lebron James.

i have np with anything a player does cause teams are always gonna do what best for them. my question is why is there a double standard boston would trade rondo for cp3 is they could. Look at all he done for them no one says !!. But Cp3 and D12 Want to leave there bs teams cause they know they will never will win there and its a problem . Why is ok one way but not the other is question i want to be answer that all
