8. Omar Minaya, Mets. His brilliant 2006 season in which he pilfered Oliver Perez from the Pirates and John Maine from the Orioles, two teams that could have used their services, was followed by a 2007 that featured some costly mistakes -- trading Heath Bell, Brian Bannister and Matt Lindstrom and getting practically nothing for them in the offseason, and then doing little to help prevent a late-season collapse that left the Mets one game short.[pic][pic]

[pic] its true to a point [pic] @ niccas attacking Minya because I said Cashman was overrated dumbass yankee fans. and those moves were minor moves noone even cared when they were made. but hes redeemed himself by getting the best pitcher and baseball and holding on to our two best prospects in doing so..

and dnt make me go thru the list of cashmans bad moves...

Whats your point of even starting this thread to try and diss the Yankees when your !!ass team is leaps and bounds worse than the Yankees, and your GM is a proven !!ing loser much like yourself.
Stop trying to start !!, every time you post in Boxden you're owning yourself, I dont even have to try anymore.

are you stupid? I also said Beane was overrated I dont see A's fans coming in here crying. Cashman is overrated and [pic][pic] @ the yankees being leaps and bounds better than the mets you really dont know !! about baseball espically if you think cash is a better gm than Minya.

Gillick #6, Are you serious??? The Phillies got lucky last year and will not be in the playoffs for about another 15 years [pic] Not to mention how he makes countless questionable moves. David Bell, Tom Gordon, Jim Thome... and the 2008 edition Geoff Jenkins, Brad Lidge [pic] He must have paid for his position on that list, because his GM skills didn't land him there

Stop trying to pawn off the argument that you brought Beane into the discussion to make yourself look like less of an idiot. You only made this thread to make yourself feel better about your pathetic team, because you still cant get over the fact they choked.
I know more about baseball in my little pinky than you do in your entire !!ing body. You were the [!] claiming all during 2007 the Mets would win the World Series, and the Yankees and Phillies were !!. Wow, look what happened, you looked like a !!ing idiot and still do.

nice argument.

I say cashman's overrated and can back it up rather easily. Same with Beane dudes are mad overrated. instead of you getting shut down and me completely sonning you again you decide to not even try and argue my very valid point and just say oh your mad cause the mets choked [pic].

you dont know !! about baseball you never even talk it you just talk !! to make up for your lack of knowledge.. you probably cant even name 10 gms [pic]

btw you were claiming the yankees would win it all but with the highest payroll lost in the first rd again what are you bragging about? [pic]

And as I said I dont even think Minyas the best GM in baseball hes made some bad moves espically trading Milledge :banghead:.

ok, now i agree that gillick is over-rated in this list...& i completely agree with the players u r mentioning...but u r very poorly mistaken if u think the phils got "lucky"...& wont make the playoffs for another 15 years

a team can be lucky by winning a crucial game & !! like that, u cant have a "lucky month" thats just stupid, the phils beat the mets 12 of 18 games last season...now regardless of the mets ridiculous choking the phils beat em 2 thirds of the time & u cant say they r/were a bad team all season...the phils played phenomenal after the all-star break

they have one of the best line-ups in baseball period, a great infield...a young star in hamels, & very good brett myers, that u can rely on in clutch situations...a veteran leader in Moyer, great base running in rollins & victorino...after this season we wont have to pay bat burrel all he makes for his roller coaster numbers

although u r correct about gillick bein over-rated u r sadly mistaken about how good the phillies are
