But if so, that means that Ankiel will have to step up in his new role as the cleanup hitter, and I'm really biting my tongue at giving away Wallace as well, but the Cards gain another ace.

I mean look at this rotation: Doc to Carp to Waino to Pinero to Wellemeyer. BEASTLY!!!!!

You know what, I edit my list, and take out Ludwick, and add Ankiel, Duncan, and Motte as well, oh and the Jays would maybe need to add Rios, if that was the case...

I know they don't have a football team, but some people will just choose the closest team and be a fan of (i.g giants) Of course not picking an AFC East team because of how the other team they root for in their other sports are in the same division and are rivals and all.

sure i'd love to keep carrasco & michael taylor. but if giving up one of them means getting doc right now i'd do it

curt schilling just called in to WEEI. knows doc very well...and knows he wants to be in boston...and has a no trade clause

oh by the way no one has prospects like us..

bowden, bucholz, delcarmen...and one more is whats being thrown around...

yankees fans are made cuz they cant buy him and have nothing to trade for hahah

Boston, Mets or Philly are the only 3 teams I can see landing him this year. Now if he gets traded in the off-season I can see almost any team willing to pay get him.

why would toronto want to face him that often?? that just sounds stupids...thats like the mets trading the phillies johan...or the phils giving hamels to the mets...or the marlins, or braves...thats just dumb

I figured some might laugh at this, it was basically Duncan, Ankiel, Boggs, Motte, Wallace, and Anderson for Doc and Rios [pic]

I don't know I mean Ankiel is a great fielder and hitter, and Dunc can DH. Wallace most likely is gonna be sick at 3B, Anderson will be a very solid C, and Boggs and Motte are our 2 best pitching prospects....

the only reason i can see toronto trading him to boston is that they can offer a better deal than anyone else. boston has the pitching to offer that i dont believe anyone else can match

Also, the Cards brass would be more than willing to shell money to keep Pujols bleeding Cardinal Red, so they prob. will be able to resign Doc to a 3yr deal, if the Cards land him

i know you would think that but they need prospects..riccardis job is in jeporedy...and i do believe that doc only faced the sox 1x this year. so its not that much. and we would have to face our prospects....you have 2 guys who can win games...and delcarmen who can be that guy to hold the middle...or even close...and they are talking 1 more position player..:agreement6:

3 years? hahah curt schilling thinks sox would offer a 5 year deal...and that doc might not waive his no trade clause till there is a deal in place...talk is 18 mill @ 5 years....can yall do that?

ankiel is def not a prospect lol they would fire riccardi if he was part of the deal lol....i just hope they dont give up Bard. he is our future closer and leverage against papelbon and his contract negotiations. Beckett, Doc, Lester, >>>___

Well it's not that it's bad, but it's just I think Duncan and Ankiel are a little too old to be taking, they probably won't even be with the team 3-4 years from now, that's why if they took a young OF like Rasmus, they'll know they'll be set for the next 7-10 years. And I dunno why they'll take Motte, I thought they had a good catching prospect in their farm, but the Wallace, Boggs and Motte are great though[pic]
