What happens when he's in a situation where everyone around him works their[..]es off, and pushes him to follow? That championship pedigree is a different situation. I don't see anything to lose with signing a guy like this to a 1-year vet min deal.... if he starts to act out and doesn't buy into the "Pat Riley way" then you waive his[..] and that's that. But if he does come around, wow, you have yourselves a hell of a player.

Just look at it like this.... would you rather take a chance on an actual serious talent like Blatche, or waste a roster spot on Eddy Curry or one of those bums from the summer league? We won a title with Eddy Curry, Juwan Howard, and Terrel Harris wasting space on the end of our bench last season. Blatche is significantly more talented and significantly better than all 3 of those guys put together at this stage.

I'd actually waive Pittman for him if we wanted to keep Harris and another guy.
Y'all keep saying this but don't realize he's a lost cause [pic]

You can keep harping on his stats and his talents and how good he can be but honestly with him going to Miami it'll be worse for his lazy habits. This is the same idiot that throws parties to commemorate the end of the Wizards season, the same idiot who constantly comes in training camp out of shape, the same idiot who boasts of being a leader yet two players on the team came to his "camp", the same idiot who can't defend a traffic cone.

I wonder if anybody realizes that the wizards, who are a very young team, amnestied him. Let me say it again the Wizards.......amnestied Andray Blatche. If that doesn't tell you stay away, I repeat stay the !! away, then you're pretty much that white girl in the horror movies.

If he does go to Miami y'all are gonna regret it, mark my words.

i'm not high on blatche because he's a lazy stupid !!, but he does have some talent, and worst case scenario he warms the bench [pic]

Josh I'm gonna !! k#ll you, don't bring that !! up bro [pic][pic]

But honestly Eddy Curry is just an embarra#sment to the human race & should be exterminated. Blatche as much as I'm !!ting on him, has some small chance of hope. Very, very small chance.

but yeah, i'm not with the folks who are super high on his untapped potential, i just think we can only get better with andray blatche as a 15th man. we've carried 3 or 4 bodies per season that were just dead weight and were none the worse for it. if he can't play, he won't. if he can, he will. [pic]. pat riley and the heat organization ain't about that insubordination and laziness, they will send his[..] home if he causes trouble. if he sucks, then so what, we already have a rotation without him.

All these role players overperformed in that stretch. Brent Barry, Robert Horry, Nazr Mohammed, Francisco Elson, Bruce Bowen, Michael Finley and even Orlando's new coach was good in 2007. I actually was in agreement with you until I decided to pop in a few games from those years to be sure before I posted.

As for the last time a free agent came to San Antonio you have to look at guys like Horry and Finley(who was bought out/amnestied like Blatche). Others have been shown interest but either the Spurs or the player felt it wasn't best for them to make a deal happen. Some player's egos can't handle the structure and being treated the same as every other guy on the team the way that Pop does it. The Spurs also only target certain types of player so if a guy isnt shown the interest why go there

I'm hearing the Heat may use the last roster spot on Jarvis Varnado who they drafted a couple years ago in the 2nd round. Its not guaranteed yet but its looking very likely. He isnt a great scorer but he's athletic, rebounds and blocks shots. Much better than any of the bigs they have now.
