He lost weight so that tells me he's willing to work, but he has to get more disciplined. You throw him a breaking ball out of the zone or a fastball high he swings. Yeah sometimes it works but it's hard to hit for average and damn near impossible to hit for power swinging at that !!. Somebody need to tell him he's not Vlad.
