I was waiting for one of these stupid comments to pop up.

Yeah anytime anyone !!es about Anthony not being able to win anything the first name that keeps popping up is Deron Williams who, like Anthony, hasn't technically won anything (if winning means going deep into the playoffs or winning a title, which Anthony did as well)...but while Anthony gets chided and ridiculed and belittled, Deron Williams has been mostly been getting a bye on all this.

Carmelo has taken his team to the playoffs every year no matter what, including his rookie season where Denver came off winning a whopping 17 games. Can't say the same for "the best pg in the league" Deron Williams. Not to mention the WC is so far ahead of the EC it's almost laughable. Dude is getting knocked out the first round by the Spurs and Lakers getting called a loser while LeBron is "willing his team to the finals" against whom..?

Yep, you'll hear people chirping like this !! about how Anthony got a pretty much useless D'Antoni to quit (though both parties have said that that didn't happen) and yet no one will mention how Williams got one of the best head coaches in NBA history to quit (though both parties have said that happened) only to demand to be traded.

With Anthony it's always HE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH, but with Williams it's usually HE'S GREAT BUT HIS TEAM ISN"T GOOD ENOUGH. Makes you chuckle with a good eye roll.

So empty stats are good enough to be heralded as one the league's best point guards now..? Where did those pretty stats get Mr. Williams..?

Not to mention statistics are the the weakest form of trying to evaluate point guard play. Chucking up 3's and leading the league in turnovers might be satisfactory for Nets fans but give me Rondo's 11 & 11 as a floor general and someone who controls the pace of a game 10x out of 10.

sweet. Carmelo has always had stacked teams and he's done nothing in the playoffs. What does lebron have to do with anything? This is about deron and carmelo.

Williams never got sloan fired. He quit on his own and williams never demanded a trade. He wanted to wait till the off-season to sign a contract and utah traded him.

The nets had the most inj last season and the point of the season was to wait for dwight.

he had this starting line up for the majority of the year

Dwill
morrow
stevenson
hump
okur/shelden williams

Except Rondo can dominate a basketball game without even scoring. His inability to shoot means nothing when you account for the way he effortlessly controls the pace of a game.

Yeah his teams were so stacked that they lost to the eventual NBA champions half the time. Not to mention that Carmelo was the reason the Nuggets even got into the post season to begin with. Hey, but lets blame Melo anyway because.. well.. just because.

That's funny you mention injuries when Carmelo managed to still get the Knicks into the playoffs despite losing his starting PF and PG. Right after the Linsanity run when the Knicks had yet another spiraling losing streak and Dumbtoni got the boot.

But if that was Deron Williams and we hadn't made the playoffs it's alright becuase.. well.. just because. As long as we throw our teamates under the bus in sports magazines were still NBA's golden boy. You "NBA fans" are hilarious [pic]

This is literally all I needed to read to know that I am trying to sustain an argument with a retard.

So was Jeremy Lin the reason we made it into the playoffs when him and Stat rode the pine forcing Carmelo lead us to an 18-6 record to end the season? Winning player of the month in April? Do you even watch the NBA or catch the highlights on First Take?

we were 18-6 with woodson.... lin played 7 under woody, and we were 6-1 and blowing teams the !! out. once lin went down we were 12-5. amare also played some game under woody and had a nice lil spurt of games before he went down again.

Carmelo finally found his groove in March and never looked back tho

melo did nothing for 90% of the season and got his coach fired

You're excuse for melo being the biggest playoff loser is he lost to a team that was the eventual nba champ

we didn't have a PG, in a system made for them. With two players who need the ball to be effective and arent defensive minded. Never mind our coach isnt defensive minded. without a PG it was going to be a recipe for disaster regardless...We had toney douglas starting at times [pic]
