It's time to kick off our fifth-annual Summer Foecast series. (Last year, it was a Winter Forecast due to the lockout.)

Over the next two weeks, we'll roll out our predictions for how each team will do this season, as well as the 2012-13 Rookie of the Year, Best Newcomer, Worst Newcomer, MVP, conference champions and NBA champs. We'll also examine which teams will make the biggest turnarounds this season and which teams could be in for the most turmoil.

To do so, we surveyed 100 of ESPN's best basketball minds, including contributors from ESPN.com, the TrueHoop Network, TrueHoop TV, Daily Dime Live, ESPN TV, ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes, espnW, ESPN The Magazine, ESPN Insider, ESPN Fantasy, ESPN Games, ESPN Dallas, ESPN Los Angeles, ESPN Boston, ESPN Chicago, ESPN New York, ESPN Stats & Information, ESPN Topics and ESPN Analytics.

We'll start with the conference that features the reigning NBA champs.

I just can't win... The Marlins suck, and traded away half the team in the middle of the season.... The Dolphins look like they're gonna be trash this year.... And the Magic are predicted to finish 14th in the East [pic]

All my hope is with FSU... And I'm sure we'll lose to some team we have no business losing too like Wake or Virginia [pic]

just because you are in every game doesnt mean you will win those games. who is going to finish games for you? is there enough offense on the team. my sixers last year had one of the top defenses but was the 8th seed for this reason.

A LOT of those games we lost, we were in...but we still lost them

and how long was d rose was out last yr how did we finish games?????????????????????? what was our record last and dont compare us to the garbage[..] sixers we have players on our team who know how to win thats why we been the number 1 seed for the past 2 yrs
