CONFIRMED: NBA Live 13 dropping in October Digital download only and $19.99

EA taking the NFL 2K5 route with the pricepoint...



It’s all said and done. After months of wondering what will happen with NBA Live 13 and why it appeared at E3 and was never really seen again, the moment of truth for all of the patient and impatient Live fans.

At the GameStop Expo in San Antonio, Texas, I managed to get down to the bottom of the launch date issue and the specific direction of the franchise. An EA representative informed us at IRB GAMER that NBA Live 13 WILL release this year. The month that is being pushed IS October as a “digital” release for XBOX Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

“It’s been almost 3 years since we’ve released an NBA title,” the EA rep said. The tactic is to get feedback from gamers. However, it’s a bit risky to not run it as the AAA title as thedecision has been made to NOT put the game on disc.

“Live will be looking at a price point around $19.99,” equaling out to 1600 Microsoft Points or $20 PlayStation Network card.

so what do people who dont have xbox live do? in the past they could purchase the game and just play the disc. how would you download the game

Live for anything more than free is out of the question

It will be in the Playstation Market as well. Buy one of those $20 cards.

!!. I already pre-ordered both 2K13 and Live at GameStop. Need a refund.
