Barkley knows whats up, kobe an all time great and all but thats no excuse to be running your mouth on the greatest team ever[..]embled. Even if they could beat the Dream Team it aint saying !!, what the Dream Team did for the NBA cant be duplicated ever. They globalized the game. Just like Jordan. You cant duplicate that !! no matter how bad u want to..u just end up sounding envious like kobe.

Hes right tho only kobe bron and durant would make that dream team.

I mean the rest of the world is much better now than before so you cant really use margin of win to compare. Lets see the percentage of international players in the NBA now vs. then to compare.

i mean if niccas are being honest cp3 and deron are both better than magic was at that point.
everyone on this team was better than bird was at that time.
clyde was not close to as good a scorer as Melo so thats also silly.
it would be a good game, if they pounded the ball inside, dream team would win.
if not, if this team would run away on them.
this team is maybe 3 trillion times more athletic than they are.

pippen would've d'ed up lebron or durant; kobe wouldve had his fits with mj. magic is a !!in mismatch to anyone on the 2012 team. tyson would've been in foul trouble all night trying to hold ewing or robinson. bird would've shot someones lights out while barkley gets all the rebounds; then you still have karl malone, stockton, and mullins to deal with?

nicca please!

have you actually watched a single one of those games?
the rest of the world was DOOOOOOOOOKIE.
[pic]
i was hype after watching the dream team doc and went on youtube and watched the games. it was like professionals vs intramural squads. niccas couldnt hit open jumpers or hit LAY UPS. it wasnt even really fun to watch. the other teams showed up knowing their skill level wasnt high enough for them to win.
[pic]

if magic and bird are in their primes this game is clearly dream team dominated, but since them niccas was old, flabby and sick at this point, im not so sure anymore

83 international players in the NBA in 2010

33 year old aids infected magic that literally was retirement bound?

[pic]

shutt the !! up.

old[..] bird with his bad back who could barely tie his shoes most games?

[pic]

who the !! are they guarding? anyone on this 2012 is dropping 50 against them.

the best possible line up they could run would be MJ, Pippen/Mullin, Barkley, Karl and Robinson/Ewing.

Deron/CP3, Kobe, Lebron, Melo/Durant, Chandler would give that team fits. Who is guarding Deron or Cp3? cuz if its Mj that means Kobe, melo, durant or Bron is going off cuz no one else on that squad has nearly enough ability to guard them. If you throw pippen on one of them, still two of them are going OFF on whatever defender is left. Then they actually have the athleticism to contest the dream squad at every position. After any pick for this squad it would be a heavy mismatch.

The bigs would have to dominate, its the only way Dream team could win.

i don't understand how people think this wouldn't be close. just because they was blowing out international teams that might not even have players on the nba bench? if you comparing the teams to what they were when the teams were playing the olympics it would be close

the only major advantage the 1992 team got is the front court

--Deron and CP3 would demolish Stockton. And he damn sure wouldn't be able to keep up with Westbrook in the open court
--Bird past his prime (plus with his messed up back) wouldn't be able to guard Melo or Durant. He'd be a non factor.
--Pippen (who's the best permiter defender of all time) would only be able to guard so many. And he couldnt match up with a 6 10 with a 7 ft wingspan forward in Durant.
--Kobe v. Jordan would be interesting. People like to pretend Kobe's done but he balled out in that OKC series, dropping 40 in that last game.
-- Bron would drop his usu. 30 10 and 7 cause nobody can guard him (Pip would check Durant, Jordan on Kobe, Who's gonna check him Clyde?) [pic]

So the 92 team might win, but it wouldnt be a blowout.
But here's the deciding factor.....

Jordan wouldn't allow his team to lose.

Dream Team wins with a game winner from Micheal 102 -100 [pic]
finally someone who understands basketball. I'd agree with this. I'm giving it to the youngins cuz theyd run the dream team out the gym i feel. they just had too many old heads on the perimeter that would be DESTROYED by perimeter players now. Lets remember that Magic got bodied by bob hurley G.
[pic]

if they pound the ball inside they def. have a great chance. it wouldnt be a blow out on either side simply because too many HOFrs are involved, mainly the GOAT in his prime

would be great to watch tho.

athleticism is not everything lol u gota remember Stockton held his own in the League till old age playing PG starting for the Jazz he gona be slicing them youngins on the pick an roll his mid range shot was automatic nowadays these PGs cant even shoot 50% from the field that was the norm before.
[pic] Lebron is 6'8 260 stronger than magic has ever been his whole life nd can run a 4.4 flat so gtfo for that comparison. I understand what ur saying about stockton and his fundimentals and i get that BUT westbrook is so athletic and SO fast that stockton wouldnt even be at half court by the time westbrook durant and lebron finished the fastbreak...

If these two teams played the 2012 team would claim the 92 team was playing too rough and leave the floor soon as they had to face an NBA era that was allowed to play actual defense. As soft as the NBA is now a days it would be a massacre out there.

Its easy to say the 92 team is better because we already know how their careers played out but until we see what the 2012 players accomplish in their careers then we wont really be able to give a fair judgment. but if you judging off talent alone its a toss up.

Barkley said most of them were in their primes(which was true) but what had a 29 year old Barkley accomplished in his career at that point? you can ask the same question about most of the players on the 92 team at that time. like many have already said magic and bird were not spring chickens at the time and the 92 team had laettner which is clearly the worst player on either team.
