Cavaliers Interested In Trading For LaMarcus Aldridge

Cavaliers Interested In Trading For LaMarcus Aldridge
topic by Chaos - 04-24-2013, 11:10 AM - Boxden > BX SportsCenter

The Cleveland Cavaliers have held internal discussions of pursuing a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers for LaMarcus Aldridge, according to sources.

The Cavaliers have enough a$sets in the form of young players and picks to acquire a player of Aldridge's caliber, but the front office is said to value Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters higher than the rest of the NBA.

They truly don't have the a$sets to get him though. I highly doubt Portland want to pair Lillard and Waiters.

Can't see it happening, really.

1st pick + Thompson + Waiters for Aldridge and Matthews

maybe?

The new luxury tax will force teams to offload larger salaries (Thunder and James Harden). The Cavs would have a better offer to make today than last year if James Harden was available today for the Thunder. These opportunities will be out there. They need to add vets, they don't need to add Andre Iguodala and pay him $41 million to win 45 games.

-Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge are two guys the Cavs could go after as well.

I've been screaming this for the longest...we need an offensive veteran PF that can score in the paint, move on the outside, and run with Kyrie...

Kyrie serving, Dion on the wing, Andy in the paint, LA at the top of the key

probably not gonna happen
