Brandon Jacobs Gets Positive News from MRI on Left Knee

An MRI exam Sunday revealed that 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs did not sustain any significant structural damage to his left knee, a league source confirmed.

Jacobs sent out a few, positive-sounding tweets Sunday afternoon, including one reacting to his MRI results: "Good Good Good."

The 49ers did not issue any update on Jacobs because of their tight-lipped protocol on injuries.

"I would love to answer everybody questions but do to team rules I can't, but I will thank all of you for your prayers I love all of you," said Jacobs via tweet.

Jacobs' knee has no major damage but no timetable is set for his return.

Coach Jim Harbaugh said in his post-game press conference that preliminary findings showed no season-ending damage. Harbaugh revealed that Jacobs checked out fine regarding his anterior cruciate ligament and patella.
