Andrew Bynum's agent has no idea what's going on...
By JamcnPrettyboy - 07-19-2012, 01:25 PM - Boxden > BX SportsCenter

Jason Lloyd
Andrew Bynum's agent, David Lee, told me he has had zero conversations with #Cavs GM Chris Grant about a possible trade. "I would imagine any team involved in this trade would be smart enough to talk to us," Lee
said, referring to the fact Bynum is entering the final year of his deal.
Jason Lloyd
David Lee, Bynum's agent, said he was baffled by the recent Yahoo! report that listed Cleveland as a potential destination for Bynum in free agency. "When I read it online I was in Alaska with Andrew and his family ... I
was taken aback by the list considering there is nobody in anybody’s camp he could’ve been talking to. I have no idea where that came about."
Someone is spinning this story for their own personal gain.

Isn't it tampering if another team talks to a player before a trade?

Teams never give permission until the trade is pretty much a done deal.

With that said, clearly this isn't the final offer that Orlando is going to receive, they still are probably going to wait and see what Houston does after the Asik situation is resolved. So Lee saying this really isn't an indictment against the framework of a trade being worked on, but people thinking this is going to happen today are mistaken. We still have a long way to go with this saga.

This has a lot to do with everything because it would be dumb for any team to trade for bynum without any[..]urance he'd stay being that he's on the final year of his contract

That would be dumb to map out any trade on a player entering the final year of his contract unless you're trying to shed salary for the following summer.

I agree, and for that reason, I think most of what we've been hearing is BS and smoke signals. Bynum has stated that he won't sign until after the season no matter where he goes. LA is the one attempting to trade him, but also if the deal doesn't go through or Dwight gets traded to Houston, you don't want to give the impression that you wouldn't want Bynum back as well (which I think they've already done.)

So either the Lakers don't care that it's well publicized they want Dwight and will ship Drew out to whoever to get him, or all of this is BS and none of us really know whats going on behind the scenes.

I do think that Dwight, knowing that Brooklyn is out of the question, understands his best opportunity lies in LA, but that means nothing to Bynum or the Orlando Magic

it looks like the Cavs will take him without the commitment.....if so, he has no choice but to go there until his contract is up......

im sure the Cavs will trade him before the year is over...

If Bynum aint signing an extension they don't have to talk to the agent to trade him. The only reason you would talk to the agent is to say "would he sign an extension if we sent him to Cleveland?". Other than that he's a commodity. If he doesn't show up in Cleveland to play he won't get paid. Simple as that.

Dangerously
You're really !!ing naive if you believe Bynum's agent has no idea what's going on. If he didn't and he ADMITTED that then he'd be fired on the spot. He's trying to spin this as to say the negotiations haven't begun regarding Bynum's accommodations in Cleveland. Essentially, he's trying to get some attention.

You're HOPING and PRAYING that these rumors are false. You act like Agents would never lie to you [pic]
