Bill Russell is not even skilled offensively. Hakeem is skilled both offensively and defensively.

| I don't know how anyone can argue with the title "Most Skilled". We aren't talking rings, so the Russell talk can stop there. I'm glad to see a few dudes giving D-Rob some love. Guy was a monster on both ends of the court. | |

Skill wise? there is no doubt that Hakeem was the most skilled center to ever play the game. Its not even close, so i dont see why you're taking shots...

| you could argue who was better than who all day, but honestly no center was as skilled as Hakeem, none were as freakishly athletic as Wilt(maybe Dwight Howard), none had an unstoppable weapon like Kareems hook, and none lead a team or had the basketball IQ of Russell. Sam Jones won 11 rings to i guess he is the most skilled shooting guard in NBA history huh?? Bob Cousy won what 7 rings does that make him the most skilled PG??? No he is talking about skill and talent... And the average height of the Center in those days was like 6'9" if not shorter... You have like 4 players over 7 foot and Wilt retired 2 years after Cowen got in the league... You act like he was playing against Kareem and Wilt every night... He was mostly playing against niccas his height... | ||

| olajuwon did something that to me is just as impressive as oscar averaging a triple double in a season, he is the only player to have 2000 points 1000 rebounds 200 steals and 200 blocks in the same season. if that doesn't say most skilled i don't know what does | |

As opposed to a league of 100 mostly white American players only... which wasnt even the best 100 players in the world as racism prevented majority of the black athletes from playing and no international players were even in the league... So yeah its harder and harder to win against the Worlds best as opposed to the USA's racially unequal league at that time... Do you think it was a coincidence that damn near every championship game involved Russell, Baylor, Chamberlain, Reed and Jabbar [pic][pic]
