So excuses for Floyd not making the catchweight, but not for Broner. The point is, don't contract to fight at a weight you can't make.

No it's the fact that Floyd was 30+, you're a knowledgeable boxing fan, you know it's hard for a 30 year old to make the lower weights and still walk in the ring feeling healthy and not drained. We know Floyds conditioning is un questionable, and we also know that Floyd was on a 2 year hiatus BEFORE that fight.

A 21 year old who's had no long layoffs, in his physical prime should not be having those problems.. I don't remember Floyd struggling with weight issues starting out his career. He's always in peak condition.

Then Floyd should not have contracted at the weight. He even said it himself that was the most embarrassing moment of his career.

Who said Broner not making weight was a problem? Dude was overweight enough that to me it just showed he didn't give a !!. He probably chose to weigh in at a more comfortable weight than to overexert himself and risk not coming in optimal shape where he could get upset by Escobedo.

He put the 10 lbs he sweated out back on overnight. He probably could not go any lower. That 140 next weigh in was never going to be met. He was too dehydrated.

he didn't make weight which discouraged his opponent who then in return was just all about getting a check. His corner threw in the towel after no knock downs. what a joke
