Broner was extremely unprofessional and is a total twat, but Escobedo was banking on being bigger and being able to muscle Broner. Hell, he went up 10 lbs to the weigh in this morning and is like 145 or so now lol. When he realized he wouldn't be bigger, he wanted Broner to cut some so he could take some starch out of him. When that didn't happen, he pulled out because he couldn't get the advantage he needed to even bother Broner. Bad business decision from a guy who will always be the B side. Oh well.

With it being this close to fight time, you have to guess that both camps are working hard to figure something out numbers wise. A bigger fine, less payout to Broner...who knows?

Haymon offered like 500K and Escobedo still didn't want it. Fight is off. DGAF anyway. Escobedo was just a can being fed to Broner. Hard hitting welterweight prospect Keith Thurman's fight is still on and it's moved to the main event. Will still be watching that.

Floyd couldn't get down to 144 for the Marquez fight. Marquez just accepted more money. When you can't cut the weight, you can't cut the weight.

The last agreed term was not to come in over 140. That's it, but after given a second chance he still manages to go over by 5lbs. That's what I'm talking about

You don't understand weight cutting. Fighters don't just lose the weight over time and then rehydrate back up. They go the lowest point where they can still function, then sweat out the last 10-15 lbs(sauna). Then after the weigh in they rehydrate that 10-15 lbs back, so they don't have the lasting effects of cutting pure weight instead of just water.

Broner probably sweat out 15 lbs from 148 and 133 is the lowest he could go. He had to get that 15 lbs back before he felt the effects.

Broner is a 21 year old, FLoyd was what? 32 at the time of the Marquez fight. Thats understandable if you cant shed weight as a 30+ year old as the body doesn't work the same way when you were in your physical prime in your mid to young 20's..

No excuses for Broner, he should have met weight.. All that !! he's talking, and trying so hard to be like Floyd, he should have been prepared.

Floyd has a big mouth but he's the ultimate professional when it comes to his craft. Broner needs to smarten up, he better be glad HBO is really pushing him to be a Floyd replacement.. Had to garuntee the bum he's fighting another HBO slot just to keep the fight on.. [pic]

Disappointed in Broner. The respect I did have for him is gone. After not making weight the first time, he clearly did not care because he started drinking water right after. I've heard that Broner is currently weighing in at 148 lbs.

Being a wrestler for 8yrs I understand weight Cutting very well.
