| They are 11 mill over the cap...they have K. Thomas, B. Barry, M. Finley, R. Horry and J. Vaughn all combining to about 22 mill...all which happen to be unrestricted. So if they chose to dump these guy...which they will or they lowball them for little money they will be very good under the cap. I myself would dump them all and sign Mickael Pietrus, DeSagana Diop, Bostjan Nachbar and Carlos Arroyo...which all happen to be unrestricted Then I look at the draft and see if I can pick up a SG with a Three point stroke...which I would choose Courtney Lee from W. Kentucky. Flat out shooter and a shot 80% at the FT line. Oberto/Diop Duncan Pietrus/Nachbar Ginobli/Lee/Bowen Parker/Arroyo Boom...You have ton's of guys that can shoot the three pointer and slashers...Back to the Championship for Spurs. | |

| It ain't hunger it's athleticism. Expect Ginobili to be hurt all the time. His style of play is the reason I'm saying this (see D. Wade). They need guys who can run and finish. The only problem is it will take those guys a year or two to get comfortable and playoff savy. The earlier poster had a b0mb[..] Spurs lineup but those new guys might struggle there first year in real intense playoff ball. Sure Arroyo and Diop have been there but they'll be key for the Spurs and Arroyo plays zero D. I don't think Pop will play him much anyways. | |

had you said someone like gerald wallace, you would have a case. the spurs problem is they dont have alotta leverage for trades outside of their top three players. players like wallace, or maybe okafor from charoleete would be ideal additions but they dont have anybody to give up for them or tha money to pick them up in free agency. maybe they can luck up and score someone like jermaine oneal cheap buts its unlikely. | ||

| i understand what your saying about ariza, he's showed that in spirts for everyteam hes played with, but by now most people should realize tha chances of him being a major player in any teams rotation are slim. he"ll more than likely be locked into journymen status for the rest of his career. alot laker fans on this board were talking about him like he would be a potential starter for years to come. just couldnt see it. but props on tha honest input tho. | |

| I remember playing 2k8, and in my franchise I saw the Spurs sign Emeka Okafor, now what if that was to happen in real life?, since Okafor is a FA (I think)...hmm, but then again, it is just a video game [pic]...but yeah, they need to get younger, and like the guy above said, Diop will be a nice fit at C for them, and then maybe pick up Rush in the draft, and a couple other young pieces, and I think they'll be fine next season | |

| Well, they have a big man there that's like 18 or 19 or something that they played strictly in the d-league last year. He's like 6'11 250 and full of promise according to a lot of online NBA analysts. Now as far as moves, expect them to go after a few of the Golden St guys, like Matt Barnes, Mikhel Pietrus, Monta Ellis, and Patrick O'Bryant. In the Draft, If Chalmers is still there when they pick they will get him if not, they will go after Gary Forbes from UMass and since they have some of the best scouts in the leauge I'm sure they will use the two 2nd round picks on somebody that fills a need and will be a steal by NBA standards. | |
