8 Champions with asterisks next to their names

Edit 9. 2002 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers

I was hesitant to put them here because the series against Sacramento, altho they did receive ref help, I feel like since it was a 7 game series, Sacramento still had an opportunity to win (unlike juiced up Boston...you can make the argument NY had steroid users too, but those individuals didnt effect the series quite like Ortiz and Manny)....but you guys really want it up, so here it is

8. 2012 USA Women's Soccer Champion USA

Canada played better...they scored more goals...they played fair...and yet a phantom handball and a call for the goalie holding on to the ball too long (which is NEVER called in situations like that) did them in...see what happens when you play fair Canada....you lose....

7. 2004 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox

Wasn't Manny Ramierz AND David Ortiz on steroids this entire season....and didn't they both hit game ending homeruns in the New York series when they were down 3 games to nothing....and everyone is ok with this...but meh I wuldnt give that ship back if I was Boston either...

6. 2012 Ye Shiwen Gold medalist Women's 400m Individual Medley

Ye Shiwen a female competitor (who wasn't even supposed to medal) swam the last 50m of her race in 28.93 seconds beating out Ryan Lochte, the winner of the corresponding men's event, who swam it just under a fifth of a second slower in 29.10...So...they give her a gold...took her dopping tests at face value and moved on...

5. 2011 NCAA National Champion Alabama

Remember when conference titles mattered? It's ok, neither do I. Was Alabama the best team in the nation this year...maybe...but the fact that they didn't even play in the SEC national championship shoulda been enough to prevent them from going to the national championship game, let alone winning it...but its the decade of Nick Saban ball sucking so as long as he only has one loss a season, he's team'll be in the mix....

When the Big Ten starts giving up monopolies to create a playoff system, that's when you know the BCS done !!ed up....

4. 93-94 Houston Rockets NBA Champions

What happens when the greatest NBA player of your generation gets bored from winning rings and decides to retire for a year and a half...apparently less talented versions of his former team start comin up...

3. 94-95 Houston Rockets NBA Champions

....a 6th seed winning a ship in the 90s...nuff said...

2. 1988 Park Si-Hun Gold Medal in Boxing

In a highly controversial 3-2 judge's decision, South Korean boxer Park Si-Hun defeated American Roy Jones, Jr., despite Jones pummeling Park for three rounds, landing 86 punches to Park's 32. Allegedly, Park himself apologized to Jones afterward. One judge shortly thereafter admitted the decision was a mistake, and all three judges voting against Jones were eventually suspended. The official IOC investigation concluding in 1997 found no wrongdoing, and the IOC still officially stands by the decision....[pic]

1. 1972 Basketball Soviet Union Gold Medalists

...What do you do when you try and screw a team over and it doesn't work....you do it again....and then again....Apparently rules didnt matter in this olympic game where the Soviet Union was awarded several opportunities to triumph over the USA in one of the most controversial (and saddest) olympic finishes ever....to this day the silver medal USA team has yet to acknowledge their medals....and rightfully so
