| Easy..Sheva scored against Italy recently. He still is a good player..and has been one of the best strikers in the last 10 years..just not working out with him at Chelsea. But Chelsea can be the striker Burial ground..Kezman was awesome before Chelsea along with Crespo, Mutu turned into a cokehead down there, Drogba was useless until last season. | |

| ^ Hardly true - to the Welsh lad. Before he went to Chelsea, he scored more than a goal every other game in his club career - he was scoring respectable tallies in the CL with Kiev for god's sake, including a hat-trick against Barca, & scored a ridiculous number of goals for AC in both the CL & Serie A, pretty much the toughest league for a striker in the world. He's scored 34 goals for !!ing Ukraine who, until relatively recently, were pretty !!e. He's one of the most clinical strikers of the past 25 years, if not of all time. Even in his current predicament, there's only an elite handful that can even match him on his day - we're talking Van Nis', Ronaldo, Crespo, that calibre. Unless one spoke without any logic (like naming him best left winger ever), I don't see how you can overrate that. | |

| ~20 goals from midfield for the last 3 seasons = doing nothing. So, since October 2006, I'm guessing all of Lampard's goals were deflections. I see now...[pic] Here's a little stat line for you: Steven Gerrard: 385 appearances for Liverpool - 75 goals. Frank Lampard: 334 appearances for Chelsea - 93 goals. *awaits more excuses from stevie g's #1 fan* | |

lies. lampard has made 331 appearances for chelsea (league,fa cup, league cup, europeans trophies) gerrard has scored 76 goals in 389 appearances, check what your copying next time... and if youd been watching football longer than a season or 2 you would know gerrard started life in the first team as a defensive midfielder and more recently (after abramovich's takeover of chelsea 1 season after lampards arrival) lampard has played with a wider range of talent, and more gifted players than gerrard has. the only excuses made in this thread are of your "affiliation" with chelsea, as you crudely twist between as many reasons your brain can muster as to how you have come to "support" chelsea and try to make excuses to try and show the validility of your support, in vain. | ||
