who's making money off twitter pages?
whats a good price to charge?

its not really lot to get there i think... as far as i know only the backs are really editable.
I dont do that, though.

charge like 80$ its only one image and it has to be less than 800kb!!!

Even $80 is too much. They're not that hard to do and since 3 years ago when Twitter first launched, pretty much every single creative little interesting design element you can think of (i.e.- the corner page curl) has been done or overdone, so there's nothing new or original you can offer to Twitter background designs. Tax $50, do something clean and eye catching to match the company/client colors, keep it moving.

You really can't say that $80 is too much... even though there isn't any coding involved, a design is still a design.. you can knock something out in 5 minutes, or you can spend several hours perfecting and tweaking every little detail. You know that, E.

Find out the company's budget... if they're willing to pay $500 for a twitter design, what are you gonna say? "No, I do them for $50"?? Of course not... so charge whatever the top dollar is that people are willing to pay, and work for it. Provide multiple design samples if it will help you sleep at night.

Just be careful and very clear about additions and revisions. If you're not, you could end up spending SEVERAL hours to make that $50.

I would say prices start at $50... with that you will just design it and put it up, done. If people want revisions or multiple design samples, tax em for it.

That's true, man. I just don't see much of a market for twitter backgrounds (at least not yet) so I wouldn't take them too seriously personally. It's like when you do a flyer for a client and he asks for an additional banner version of the flyer for his site. It's no big deal, you can probably knock it out for an extra 5 bucks and it wouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

I mean if someone DOES offer you $500 for a Twitter background, you better give it your absolute best! LOL

problem with twitter is that theres no way to make one that shows the same for everybody. You can make an amazing background on your computer and on someone else's it will look like s**t because parts will be covered.
