| I never use the stock lens. You can make money with it, I shot this with a T3i and a Rokinon 85mm:
Editing in premiere. I like prime lenses and I only had the 85mm so I couldn't zoom in or out. Small price to pay for the quality. The stock lens sucks in indoor settings

a 50mm or 35mm pop like a muhmother..lol oh and i duno i took the 50 back cuz there was way to many times i had to use my kit lens because where we were ...my lens was to close..but with the 35 you have so much distance..the 50 is a great lens..but i get the same results with the 35. and ya you say your doing outdoor..but how do you no your next client isnt gonna want to do a video in the studio or something..and if its a small studio..your !!ed and gonna have chopped off heads and only be able to fit 1 or 2 people in the shot..but do want you want. try both if you can..youll see

| You can also go onto ebay and get a Tonkina type lens which are really cheap but you just have to get a adapter. I got a few different kinds great for starting out. But I would say a Carl Zeiss 50mm prime lens makes a work of difference. | |
