Syncing camera to computer during studio shots

hey i have my studio in my office i do my graphic design and everything in. and where i shoot my computer is right next to me.

So im trying to figure out how i can run a cable to my monitor and when i snap the camera i can look at my screen and see the results..i mean maybe its not that big of a deal but i think it would be cool and look impressive for clients LMAO..

so anyone know what cables,programs, hook ups i need for that.

i heard your camera has to have live view for that..and mine does..so ya..help is appreciated and im sure other photographers will benefit from this posting if answered

I don't do photography, but the agency I work with had a promotional event last month where we'd take photos of everyone who attended the party and automatically tweet them.

The photographer I worked with, he told me all I needed was Adobe Lightroom. I forgot the actual set-up instructions, but it was easy as hell. As long as the camera was connected to my computer, all the .cr2 files were on my desktop in a folder.

I don't know what kind of camera you need, but the only program you need is Lightroom as far as I'm concerned.

your camera comes with software

its called Tethering.

all u need is a usb to micro usb.

or firewire if your camera has it.

THAT'S the word! Couldn't remember it for sh-t. Yeah, we used a micro USB, hooked up the camera, started a new tethering system in Lightroom and the rest was a breeze.
