How to make the BX smileys?

LMFAO....there are like 20 diff ways to select people outta pictures...but then again it depends on which program you are using. Imma graphic designer so it takes me less than 10 minutes on the hard 1's [pic]

I'll help cuz if you don't know what you doing just people telling you do this or that won't help. Editing software is a bit much to look at when you have no idea what you doing. Its simple "YOUTUBE SELECTION TECHNIQUES IN WHATEVER PROGRAM YOU ARE USING" you'll quickly find out it takes no time to learn how. Once you figure out how to select then "YOUTUBE REFINE SELECTIONS" Watch the videos completely first, then watch again and take notes, then make your browser window small so you can have the PS window and the video side by side. Trust me it helps.

I won't go in depth cuz it would just go over most people's heads anyway. Just youtube what I said where you can stop, start and rewind and then practice on stupid !! to get the hand of it. Imma pro and I youtube diff techniques that I don't know or am not comfortable with everyday still.

Fuk it I'll help, I'm bored.

IMO the easiest way (in photoshop)

1. Open a New File (in the New File Dialogue box at the bottom you'll see the BACKGROUND CONTENTS SECTION change that from WHITE to TRANSPARENT.) This means there will be no background.

2. To place the image in the document go to FILE -->>PLACE and find the image you want to place. Once the image is placed in the art board use the Zoom Tool (Hot key Z) and drag around the head or whatever your trying to select.

3. Right click on the layer and choose Rasterize Layer---this makes the pixels in the photo editable.

4. Grab the brush tool from the tools panel and choose a brush (I use #65 cuz it has soft edges) you can make the brush bigger or smaller by using the [ or ] Hot Keys.

5. From here its just click and erase make the brush ^^^^ bigger or smaller as needed. Zoom in and out to check progress.

6. Save the file as a .png

voila your done.

what i did was when i was done with the pic i saved it as an interlaced .png an went on tinypic.com pulled it off my pc an saved as a message board pic......then grab the link an post here

I'm stuck here when I click on "Layer" in the tool bar I can't click it because it's gray (not selectable)

what do you use to cut out the head? i'm sure my method is primitive...magic wand and tolerance lol. What's the best tool? i'm not a graphic designer just for general knowledge.

Pen tool.

simple method..

trace head using lasso tool.
select>inverse
delete
save as .png

5 minutes tops.

son that picture look so fake, look at the light reflection of each person face esp the girl in the back.
