| i got pro tools LE 7.4, Music production toolkit (lets you have up to 48 tracks instead of 32), and waves plugins. i dont think it can get any better for a home studio - i dont record here just make beats on reason and mix on pro tools. | |

| thats easy instead of wiring every instrument in reason to the mixer - wire them to the "rewire" (the thing that the mixer plugs into) if you press "tab" and look at the back you will see it has 2 main inputs (thats what the mixer plugs into and thats what you will hear out of your speakers) but when you use it for rewiring you just plug your intruments in the back just like its a mixer. like lets say an nn19 into input 1 and 2, then your nnxt into 3 and 4, then your thor into 5 and 6, and so on. when you open it up in pro tools make as many instrument tracks as you have instruments and insert "reason" as a plugin into each track - it will default to channels 1 and 2 so leave that for the first one, but then the next insert change to 3 and 4, and next 5 and 6 and so on so you get each instrument on its own track. now when you press play you should hear each track seperately and be able to control them with your faders in pro tools. last but not least bus the instrument tracks to separate audio tracks and record them and you good. Make sure you adjust your tempo in pro tools BEFORE you open up reason as a plugin because it will automatically adjust your beat to whatever tempo pro tools is set to (usually default is 120). i cant lie though i dont even rewire no more its too much work i just bouce each track out of reason separately as a 24bit/44.1 khz wav and then import them into my session its easier. | I just ordered 2 of these. I'll post it here because it's a great help! And way cheaper than an official one! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=230206058176 | |
