 WWE 13 IGN Review

Terrible review. How can you improve and add onto things yet the verdict is "OK". Game should've easily gotten a 9.0 for those small flaws. VERY SMALL.

But look at what they did good with.

That's why I never look at IGN reviews and being that the reviewer doesn't have a niche for wrestler it kind of ruined it too. For things like this you get someone who has in interest in the product. I don't like Greg but with him being a wrestling fan the reviewer would've make sense coming from him.

Yet, it's funny other games that do nothing but make a new storyline and copy paste for the online aspect get almost perfect scores. [pic]

Now game informer gave 12' a 5/10. But this one received a 9/10. You tell me which one if more accurate.

Exactly! Game Informer was another example from last year. And if you read it the guy's entire review was based on the Road to Wrestlemania mode. Not even core gameplay mechanics, nothing from the creation suite, nothing from universe mode. Just strictly Road to Wrestlemania. His entire review for WWE 13 was based on that one mode. Another reason why it's never wise to trust just on review. If I'm a parent looking to buy the game and I use that one review to make my decision then I've been sorely misinformed. That's all I was trying to tell people in here.

BTW, something that is seldom talked about in this year's game is not only the ability to set difficulty up to legend, but you can set match feel types between quick (like squash/throwaway matches), normal (more like the matches you see on RAW) and Epic (more like the matches you see on PPVs). I have yet to see anyone test these modes with the same match setup (same superstars and match type) but supposedly they're supposed to work really nice. Epic = slower momentum build, taking more damage which means it takes longer to get those close two count pinfalls, you stay down longer, etc. Probably the most important change yet if it works the way it should. A shame no one has really shown it in action yet.

Been playing this game since Friday on Attitude Era and it's off the chain, everything is pretty much everything I wanted in a WWE game, just add more characters, more overall depth, and more arenas, it could be WWF NO mercy 2012

My best buy is advertising midnight release for AC 3 but you can also pick up WWE 3 , ZoE HD , Need for Speed too.

Gamestop should be doing the same thing but who knows [pic] I don't !! with Gamestop.

Good !! on the thread though, I know that must've been a lot to copy & paste [pic]
It's only $60, it'll be $30 in early 2013. I'm sure the game will pay for itself in the long run. I'm interested in buying it but gonna wait until I see what's up with the online community creations and !!.

I Ibuy these every year and last year the only thing wort reviewing was road to WrestleMania... It looks like a lot was revamped this year but id rather see reviews of short comings than praises all the positives... I think it helps lower the expectations. This is being sold like its better than ever and every year I find my self felling like i got a dud.. 2011 wasn't bad tho.. I'll get this for the attitude era deal. I'd prefer a chairman mode that you book shows and worry about ratings and develop characters..

I would really like something along the lines of this especially since I miss GM mode. Could actually be better than GM & Universe Mode combined.

I doubt they will hold out on wii-u.

WWE games sell like hotcakes on wii for some insanely stupid reason so im sure they wanna cash in wii-u since they can just port the 360/ps3 version.
