World's First DmC Devil May Cry Review Score Revealed

Swedish magazine LEVEL has reviewed DmC Devil May Cry and they have given it a great 9/10 score.


The review praises the game a lot and has mentioned that there is a lot of fun variation in the level design: Dante swings between platforms, avoids incoming trains and explores vertical sewers. The multiple stage transformations throughout the game is well integrated in the story that is being told.

Ninja Theory is taking a more serious approach than Capcom in the story-department. The controls in DmC isn’t as good as in the previous DMC-games – it’s much better. It has also been mentioned that DmC veterans will feel at home and there’s a high level of skill required to unleash chain combos.

Basically all the changes has been for the better good; combining Devil May Cry’s deep, sophisticated action with the modern action-adventure stage-design.

The review is extremely positive and it looks like Ninja Theory have nailed the game. It will be released on January 15th for the PS3 and Xbox 360; and on January 25th for the PC.

i just finished playing the demo..and i must say this game is a cop...maybe not full 59.99 price but a def 49.99-39.99 title. i remember bac before the demo came out dante had this emo look but they fixed that, added a true "dante" voice over, and some classic dmc action combos

howso? I mean it had a few tech hiccups but it was a demo afterall I was way more impressed with it than the DMC4 demo....

controls were tight and core gameplay remained intact visually it was pretty and it looks like with the reboot they are attempting to tell some type of story.....

and he never did in the other games?

Pc version 60fps it's gonna be nice.

I liked the demo and I would buy it if the character's names and perhaps the title was changed. Just feel its kind of !!ed up that they are trying to dupe the DMC fanbase into buying something that has almost nothing to do with the original DMC games. [pic]

Demo was meh imo. It might be ok though. It's worth a rental if anything.

You have to search for it specifically. A friend told me about it.

I had fun with the demo and will be picking this up..eventually. Not for a full 59.99 like someone said earlier but it was fun in the demo.

they're trying to act as if Dante and Virgil didn't know of each other that's what kinda put me off on this game cause it completely !!s dmc 3's story up and i loved the hate relationship they had in that game and in this one they seem buddy buddy and Virgil never smiled.
