Wii U GamePad Range Only 24 Feet

Can you charge it while playing?

Every system I got with a wireless controller has die while I was playing it.

I just switch controllers or charge while playing.

1 meter is 3.3 feet so 8 meters would be ABOUT 24 feet...

I understand this. But how many feet is 'like 8 meters' ('like' as in 'not exactly').

Also, I don't ever remember Nintendo denying this from their first announcement. They specifically said that the controller is designed to work with the console, not as a separate device. People want to point stuff out now that Nintendo told us over a year ago and say it's going to make it worse...

I got 2 wireless 360 controllers, and of course both of my ps3 dual shocks are or whatever as well. Wifey also has a Kinect now and I used to have a Wii

Noone is saying not to purchase the system...if you want it then get it... but It's always nice to have ALL the FACTS before you make a purchase and that's on anything from Gaming Consoles to a hooker...

i'd be kind of upset if I purchased a Wii and tried to walk away from teh TV the system was on because someone else in the house wanted to use the TV and I find out that I couldn't go that far with it...i'd actually be pissed

24 feet is fine for some houses...but if I got a WiiU and had to take a !!...my bathroom is farther than 24 away from the game room...so I couldn't take it with me...which is part of the hype with the WiiU...taking the tablet with you so you don't have to stop gaming or watching a movie

remind me not to play wii u at your house. i don't know where your controllers have been...

Every TV in my House has a cable box.

Hell I even put one in the kitchen so my wife can watch it while she is cooking and washing dishes LOL [pic].

Why would you need more than 24 feet?

What does cable box have to do with it? you going to put a Wii U in every room of your house?...and no everyone has the same set up as you...

some people have long houses like ranch style system is on room and the other end of the house could be more than 24 ft away...some people have odd shaped houses (Like my house in Chicago), some people Ballin out of control and have big houses...some people don't really have big houses just a couple floors and their mancave is in the basement but their bedroom is on the third floor (Like my house in Colorado is) and it's more than 24 feet from the man cave to the third floor where the bedroom is...so I wouldn't be able to go from the MC to the bedroom and continue playing...not to mention the battery would be dead by the time I get to the end of a dungeon in Zelda...

That is the point I was making about the cable boxes why else would you have to let someone used the tv.
