Whats up with Best Buy?

I've been using this program called "Xbox 360 Inventory Tracker". I got it from untitlednet.com and there are a lot of comments that say that it really works. But, after using this program for almost a month, it finally said that a Best Buy near my area has it so I call them up and they said that they sold out this morning...I was real dissappointed and went to Best Buy anyway to ask them in person and the guy that works around the videogame area said that they never got any today...and wont be getting them for a while..

Does anyone know what's up with Best Buy? Are they holding them for someone or till April or something? My tracker still says they have it...Maybe someone who works at Best Buy can help me out? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I thought about that, but they dont do pre-orders for Xbox 360s...to my knowledge.

I wish, but I have a $300 store credit card there and thats the only way I'll have enough money to get one.

shouldnt be long until they get them since MS has said their going to be tripling the amount of 360's made and shipped out to companies

Yea, I heard the same thing. So it cant be too long till they get some more...hey, maybe they'll get some tomorrow :) ....wishful thinking

There was a letter sent out all best buy's must hold any xbox 360's that they get in until the April 2nd ad they are going to be in the ad that week and they need to hold them until then.

What he says is true, I work at Best Buy. I looked today and it says we have 26 allocated and 44 more on order, so thats 70 just for our store and thats just the pro version. I think we're going to hold all of them for the ad. If I get a copy of the ad before the 26 that are allocated come in and the ad says we only have to have a minimum of 20 then I'll go ahead and sell the 26. If it says we're gonna have a minimum of 70 then I won't be able to obviously. Expect a line again though. Most Best Buys will receive them by Wednesday or Thursday. Call them at 11am on Wednesday if you can. If they aren't in yet check back around 12:30 or so.

^^ thanks a lot! You really helped me out. So why should I be calling on Wed. or Thurs(Do you mean this coming Wed./Thurs.)? Is that when you will get the ad in, in stores? Also, what Im wondering is, how would there be a line if only Best Buy employees know about it? Im guessing a lot of people already know?

here is the deal man I work closely with inventory team and i'm cool wit the inventory manager, it all depends on when the store closest to u get shipments my store gets them on tuesdays and thursdays but all the 360's come on thursday anywhere from 12:00 to 5:00pm

so it all depends on when your store gets there shipments but i'm pretty sure it will be on the shipment they get later in the week. I also kno Best Buy's on the west coast are extremely protective so if u live out here don't expect to get one until April 2nd when the ad comes out so if you want to wait at the store that's what I will rec.

oh yeah if u tell me where u live at i'll check there inventory and see what's up.
