| What's the point of buying games if you going trade them in |
| By krizzo741 - 06-14-2012, 07:22 PM - Boxden > BX GameSpot I dont understand why people buy sixty dollar games if they're going to trade them in later. It seems like a waste of money on that person's behalf. I could see in some cases if there is a particular game your trying to get. I remember my friend telling me that he traded his entire ps2 collection for a ps3. Another friend traded good amount of his ps3 games mostly AAA titles because his said he tired of them. My point is that it's never good buying anything in unless your to keep it. It's funny that people feel ripped off from Gamestop they're no different from a car dealership or pawn shop. |

He means the people who pay 60 for them and trade them in a week later. I have a friend who does this, he'll trade in like 10 games and walk out with like, 2. | ||

| Because some people have no where to rent and don't really give a !! about money? I trade in games all the time, granted i do it to make profit. (IE use BB gamer mag coupons to get X game for $10, trade it in for $20 + power up 10% bonus, buy 5-7 games, make profit on each plus get an extra $35 etc.) | |

| I have my "keepers", but I like to keep it moving. If I didn't trade 1\3 of my games I'd still be missing out on getting to play thru some good titles. After I chase the platinum for some games depending on how long it takes I can feel burned out on them. It's not as if I'll play that title again for a good year or more so I get the premium price on it while I can. After waiting a year+ to feel like I want to play that particular game again I can usually buy it back for cheaper than I originally sold it for. | |

| buy a game new, trade it at gamestop and just keep trading at gamestop. You'll get new games for around 30 to 40 bucks depending on if they have a trade in bonus(which usually all the time). Buying a new game every month for $60 is only $720 over the year, if $700 over the course of a year is hurting your pockets you need to level up in life and not games[pic] Last edited by Arson; 06-15-2012 at 09:17 AM.. | |

| I buy big time multiplayer games that I know im going to be playing for a while other than that I normally buy a used game from gamestop and return it within 7 days...[pic] Average playtime is a little less than 8 hours on most games so its really never been an issue. Except for tales of vesparia and the last star ocean games they are long as !!.... | |

| People who !! on the GS trade ins don't know how to work the system. They are always giving you more then what you could get off CL/Ebay if you know where to buy games, hunt for deals and use power up rewards. | |

| Buy for $60......Play/beat game............Trade for $25-35 if you're wise with your trades. Place that amount towards next game...... Save 40-60% on next game. Rinse and repeat and you'll get to the point where you are sitting on 3 or 4 free fully retail priced games per year. | |
