"WarZ" is a f$#k up, steam giving refunds

After our astonishing interview with The War Z's executive producer yesterday, it comes as no real surprise that Valve has stepped up and pulled The War Z from sale on Steam until Hammerpoint sorts out its issues. Customers who already bought it via Steam can keep it if they want; those who don't can get a full refund from Steam support. Valve also admits it made a mistake in releasing The War Z in the first place. Valve's full statement below:

Valve: From time to time a mistake can be made and one was made by prematurely issuing a copy of War Z for sale via Steam. We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchased the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site here:

Again, we apologize any inconvenience.

That's about all I can ask from Valve in a situation like this, other than some kind of[..]urance that new policies have been put in place to prevent it from happening again.

I was about to make a big thread yesterday but got to high and totally forgot.

All I have to say is DON'T SUPPORT THIS COMPANY EVER.
The are a scam of a company and the main dude behind it was also responsible for one of hte worst pc games of all time, BIG RIGS. The WarZ is JUST as bad, if not worse.

I could sit here and write up a huge list of things they have done, but I woudl be here for hours.

Bottomline is, go buy DayZ, Project Zomboid, Dead Island or wait for the DayZ standalone if you want a zombie game, because WarZ is complete garbage.

One of the worst games ive ever played in 20+ years.

This has been the very first time ive been upset at steam for something, but they did the right thing and took the game down (despite it beign #1 in sales for two days). Instead of just keeping the big sales going, they stopped it, very well done.

One thing that I have sen over the last few days is how wonderfully most pc gamers are warnign other fellow gamers not to buy this !!. People are also helping others try and get refund frmo steam and the devs main website. Its nice to see the pc gamign community not stand for this. This is the worst false advertisment of a game EVER.

Never mind how bad the actual game is to play, the devs are just !!ing idiots and scam artists which is the big thing to me. STAY AWAY!
