The War Z Gameplay Footage – First Look

As promised by Hammerpoint Interactive, though by the skin of their teeth, we have our first in game footage from The War Z. It’s very much alpha footage, but in spite of the jerky animations and slightly grainy graphics, it comes over pretty solid for the present phase of development. We also get a peek into how the Zombie AI works, and apparently you damn near have to step on them when sneaking to pull aggro.

It’s pretty close to DayZ, that’s true, but there are a lot of other aspects that are completely different. Graphics are cleaner, zombies are gorier, and there are entry-team lights on the guns, plus silencers. I also like the fact that the AI isn’t drawn to mouse farts from a thousand paces out. In all, this looks like the developers for The War Z are working hard to keep up with their promises. Which means, closed beta and pre-orders are up next, by the end of September

new L4D needs to drop already, stop all these wannabes

lol, looks terrible man damn, COD/L4D with a few ideas from DAYZ thrown in, no thanks.

It will have less bugs than DAYZ, but no way that looks better that DAYZ/ARMA2 at high to very high settings.
