Vita Software Scored Higher than 3DS in 2012

Three out of 2012's four highest-scoring handheld games (not including iOS) were found on the PlayStation Vita, and the first-year platform also edged out both Nintendo handhelds in average Metascore for 2012 releases. The Vita also managed one 90+ release: Persona 4 Golden, a port of the PS2 game Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.

The number of scored 2012 releases for Nintendo's 3DS and Sony's Vita were virtually identical (77 vs. 76), but nearly 45% of the Vita's games received positive reviews compared to just 31% of the 3DS titles. Nintendo, of course, still has the edge where it counts: in hardware and software sales.

and people were saying vita games were !!. And the top 20 vita games have a metacritic score as low as 78 while 3ds is sitting at 75.

3DS = Linkin Park ( Sells a lot, really popular, not much quality

Vita = AFI (Sells okay, not as popular as Linkin Park, WAY BETTER QUALITY)

Sales don't matter when there aren't any quality games. Interestingly enough, Sony overall did better than their competitors last year.

AFI is a really !!ing awesome band. Buy or download their album, Sing The Sorrow [pic] Its one of my favorite rock albums and one of the few I can listen to all the way through without needing to skip songs... Or just listen to some songs on Youtube...

anyway, I like the 3DS... don't get me wrong... I definitely WILL buy one when at some point, probably in a year or two. I just don't think it deserves all those sales...

This section of bx got too many !! riders. I don't see any games worth buying a Vita for right now while I been enjoying Super Street f!ghter IV in 3D, Kid Icarus, Paper Mario, Super Mario Bros 3D, Mario Kart 7, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D. Not to mention the new Fire Emblem coming out this year and Luigi's Mansion 2.

The only really dope games I see for Vita right now are Uncharted and Gravity Rush. They gotta announce 2 more games and I'll take the plunge at another reduced price hopefully. For now, it's the 3DS for sure. Y'all and your comparisons and analogies got me [pic]

Vita games could have a 99 average on Metacritic but it still not going to sell. The Vita haven't been on the market for a year and it already dead.

You do realize the 3ds has more quality games than ps vita. Add the fact that no dumba#s wants the vita because the required memory card are way over priced.

Paper mario sticker star, mario 3d land !! on anything vita has. vita need a ma#sive price drop( which wont happen due to sony financial problem) and a huge spike in sales with many AAA games in the future for me to even take a chance with the vita.

I don't see any games worth buying a 3DS for right now while I been enjoying, Mortal Kombat, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Gravity Rush, Rayman Origins, Uncharted Golden Abyss, LittleBigPlanet Vita,[..]a#sin's Creed 3 Liberation on the Vita. Not to mention the new Ys getting localized probably this year, the new k#llzone Mercenary probably coming out this year plus the tons of other Vita games that are already out that I want.

Compared to all of that, why the hell would I want to play the 90th installment of a series that hardly ever changes (Mario Kart, I can just play the GBA version on my PSP [pic])... Why would I want a !!ty version of a PS2 game that has better graphics in some places, worse in others, and runs worse than the PS2 original? (MGS3D), Why would I want a game that forces you to use the stylus/touchscreen, and comes packaged with a !!ing stand just so that you can play the game comfortably (Kid Icarus)? !! that game, !! that game forever. Why would I want to play the 150th installment of a Mario title?

Well then come up with something you think is better. In my view its an entirely acceptable analogy seeing as how this is all opinion based. AFI is not as popular as Linkin Park, most likely does not sell nearly as much but imo has more quality to their music while Linkin Part mostly just goes with the flow and doesn't deviate from what made them popular (like Nintendo)... The 3DS = Twilight - only little girls, teen girls, gay teen boys and middle aged women who want to be young like that bull!!...

The Vita = Drive - Underrated movie starring Ryan Gosling... real !!ing kick[..]...
