The long wait for PS3 users to get their hands on ‘Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’ is almost over. Now PC and PS3 users can sign up to test the next MMO in the Final Fantasy series. Here is how you can becoming a beta tester on each platform.
The exact dates for the beta on PS3 and PC have not been nailed down yet, but Square Enix launched the official application site earlier this morning. On the website Square Enix states, “Players who met the Legacy campaign requirements can participate in the beta test starting from phase 1 and are not required to apply. However, we ask players who wish to participate in the PlayStation 3 beta test to apply for it”.
This application is for new beta-testers only, “If you applied to be a PlayStation 3 beta tester for FFXIV Version 1.0 and were selected to test the Windows version instead, you need not apply again to test the PS3 version”. This is because the original application will still be included in the selection process. If you are in this category but want to continue testing for the PC version then you should apply again using this form below.
If you want to test the PS3 version of the beta and you bought Final Fantasy XII at launch, you can use the members-code from Square Enix that was included in the box (assuming of course that you still have it).
|North American players who haven't yet participated in an FFXIV beta can sign up on the beta page here, and European players can register here.
