Wow it looks smaller than the current ones yet have the base/top of the 60 gigs and opens up like
a PS1? wtf.

This !! needs to be 149.99 and they will k!ll this Holiday season, lower the price of the current
ones before releasing this !! though, make them 199.99 so the inventory gets cleared out, then
drop this new super slim PS3 during the Holidays it will be hit.

They actually trying to make a profit on these consoles, this is for their benefit
if you got a working PS3 their is no need for you to go buy this bull!!
I always find it funny how some fools go rebuy the console when their current one works fine
it's not like this new super slim has a new graphics chip/more ram, etc it is the same bull!!
now done with cheaper parts.

Again this is firstly for Sony's benefit in order to make profit
then for those entering the generation, those that never could get a PS3 6 years ago
that can now get bunch of Collections for cheap of old games.

Come on now they found a way to make HD versions of PS2 game very cheap,easy,fast...
they can resell HD versions of games, that used cost 4.99 they resell them
in "HD" for 39.99.....

It is !!ed up for those that never got a 60/80 gig BC ps3, Sony doesn't care about those that want BC they make money off games. They also might tell you "hey go buy a !!ing PS2 we still selling those joints", it's all about that money.

They make tons of money with the original ps3 at $600, then make even more money on the slim. So they use some of their profits to create a even slimmer ps3, thus making profit in the long run

Except they were losing money on the PS3 since it came out until right before they brought the first Slim out, so your theory makes absolutely no sense.

you idiots dont understand what im saying

i understand theres the need for sony to make maxium profit i understand that but the technology is at a point where they can make the consoles smaller but they release the hefty one first to create more money

im not stupid im just saying its a !!ing ripoff and if you idiots would use your brains you could easily figure that out

Who are you calling an idiot?

If they were able to produce a good product in a smaller package, they would. They'd make more profit that way. It costs more to produce a larger console than a smaller one. Technology changes over 6 years, of course they'll be able to make it smaller.

This model would never have been possible 6 years ago for what the PS3 was offering at that point.

!!.

So is this still a rumor, or are we going to change the title back?

[pic] change the title to what? There's a new thread already. And you were the one going on about how the picture was untrustworthy, only to find out it was one hundred percent true. [pic] Take ya wannabe mod[..] on somewhere

I'm talking in a sense that ps3 systems starts platform say the original and work on making it better, more efficient, convenient lets say. Same with phones like the iPhone for example, it starts out bulky but as time goes the technology gets better all the way up to the iPhone 5. You cannot start making the latest and greater product without starting from the original product. I say profit because at the end Sony making doe$.
