Resident Evil 6 to contain over 255 minutes of cutscenes

Electronic Theatre ImageThe British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has today confirmed their official classification for the forthcoming Resident Evil 6, in the process also revealing that the videogame is set to feature more than four hours of cutscenes. Resident Evil 6 is currently in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and will launch worldwide this autumn.

Resident Evil 6 will unsurprisingly sport a BBFC certificate of 18 when it launches, restricting sale of the product to persons under that age. What is more surprising however, is that the videogame will feature more than four hours of full-motion video footage, with a total running time of 04:15:00 according to the BBFC. Resident Evil 6 is designed in a way in which the cutscenes bleed dynamically into the gameplay, which you can see for yourself in some recently revealed gameplay trailers.

Electronic Theatre recently got hands-on with Resident Evil 6, stating; “Resident Evil 6 deserves to be considered one of the potential innovators of 2012.” Electronic Theatre will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on the forthcoming videogame.

Man that's too much for me.

MGS4 had 546 minutes (about 9 hours) worth of cutscenes and I played that !! 3 times. This doesn't bother me at all.

Ded gum 9 hours. I just don't have the patience. Especially after bein tired from work everyday. I beat red dead and I thought it was a lot of cut scenes. I wonder how much that was.

Sound like way to much, the cutscenes will either be too long or the action will be broken up too much.

this is why I hate Max Payne 3, too many cutscenes you can't skip.

i wouldn't call it add. I've made so many attempts at the nym hardcore trophy that i'm so !!in sick and tired of the non skippable cutscenes. Ch. 3 feels like a chore since all that !! is mostly filled with a couple long[..] cutscenes and i'm actually contemplating giving up on this !!, made it all the way to ch. 8 again only to get shot in the head smh...

as long as you can skip them on the next playthroughs it dont really matter

So not wanting to see cutscenes after you've seen them 3 and 4 times constitutes as ADD? Long cutscenes are cool...if you can skip them. In MP3 you have to watch them every time you play the game. When you play new york minute you realize how much play time there really is. I don't think I would have played MGS4 more than once if I couldn't skip cutscenes.

I'm glad the posters in this thread aren't doctors, we'd be !!ED!! Also resident evil is notorious for having bad writing, who wants to watch 4 hours of cheesy bull!!?
