This is a Real, Prototype PS4 Controller

This photo, which as far as we can tell first appeared at Destructoid, appears to be a prototype controller for the next PlayStation. From the look of it, it mostly matches up with what our sources have told us about the system.

An industry source familiar with the new system tells us the photo is the real deal. But bear in mind, it may not represent the final form of the controller. Curiously, it seems to not include a "Share" button, despite that button being described in official Orbis documentation that was shared with us a few weeks ago. I've contacted Sony to see if this is real, and will update if I hear back.

We'll likely learn more next week, as Sony is expected to unveil the new console at an event in New York on February 20.

Not feeling the controller layout. Looks like it will be another gen with trying to find a decent 3rd party controller.

what's most interesting about the controller, the rectangle pad replicates the back of the ps vita...has all the square, triangle, circle, and x designs on it...could it be a front touch pad..

Serious question, no trolling, why is everyone complaining about the sticks? I have never had a problem with them, where should they be placed and for what purpose?

analogs in the same place so its still a no go for FPS's I see......but besides that looks acceptable

Xbox stick layout is more comfortable to a lot of people. I can play with PS3 setup fine, but I rather have the 360 setup.

The controller was designed for small hands.

basically for alot of people including myself the sticks are not placed in an ergonomic enough layout. making some games quite difficult (esp as RA said fps). I would def like to know if they have tightened them up a little bit and possibly shortened stick length that made most fps' on the ps3 kind of flighty from my perspective[pic].

So Madkatz makes the official PS 4 controllers now?

So it's basically a matter of preference? I play with both XBox and PS3, and I have no problem with either, I don't know I guess it's whatever and up to individuals, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't "missing" an easier more efficient way to play.
