dated design, minimal production cost, gimmick milking....has potential but only with -$50 in price (210) still toss in uncharted 3, add year of ps plus, allow complete remote play of vita, revamp xmb perhaps by allowing for cards to store trophy data and reduce sync, better integrated notifications. Have strategic on time game line-ups(Half their games are floating in spacetime.....then yeah sony would be winning

Yo i might be reaching with this but this could be a marketing stategy to get people to buy old stock[pic]... Coz the old slim is definately going on sale when they release this one, and i reali want a PS3... Theres no fucckin way im not playing Last Of Us or the new MGS whenever it drops

but my ps3 will be collecting dust until the last of us drops

Yeah because MS has a 360 with 250 gb and 500 gb for less than $250.

Was considering buying one... but man, that top-loader looks shoddy as hell.

Guess I'll stick w/ my 360 and impatiently await next gen.

Where did I say MS needed a price drop?

Edit: Globally the PS3 has outsold the 360 up to this point this year anyways, so why lower the price?

No way would I upgrade to this model. I'm glad I upgrade to the original slim from the fat boy though it's a good system but carries too much weight.

going from a ps3 that can play ps2 games to one that cant isnt an upgrade if u ask me
