Thanks for all the VGA feedback. The Phantom Pain is an a completely game, nothing that has been shown before. I[..]ure you of that.

- Continued play on "phantom", where "Two Phantoms were born" stands as the tagline for Ground Zeroes' first concept material.
- Volgin lookalike wreathed in flames.
- Hallucinating petals straight from MGS3's climax.
- Floating figure with audible breaths muffled by mask, ala Psycho Mantis.
- Similar facial scars between in-game model and Snake concept art for Ground Zeroes.
- That !!ing mullet.
- Joakim Mogren, where Joakim is an anagram for Kojima.

Don't know but I don't mind at all. There are rumors floating around that MGS V is really two games. Ground Zeroes is the first half and Phantom Pain is the second.

You can also see him in the elevator at the end of the hall with his back turned. Some people are saying its a child version of him though because of how the sleeves are way too long. Also the body you see in the elevator is tiny.

You should also add that the name Joakim Mogren is a clue within itself. Joakim is an anagram for "Kojima" and Mogren" has OGRE in it, a hint at Project Ogre.

That person on the right is Kyle Cooper of Prologue Films, a noted title sequence designer whos works include MGS2 and 3. If you go to Prologues facebook they even said they made the title sequence for Phantom Pain.

Kojima said before that Project Ogre was entirely different than Ground Zeroes, but people in that thread are not convinced that they are different. Some people think that GZ IS MGSV and maybe just a prologue. I personally dont see how they can have two big blockbuster games of this caliber being worked on at the same time when most places cant even handle one. And the fact that they said GZ was an open world... that takes a lot of work. Theres obviously things they arent telling us. I think its the same game.

Also the guy all the way to the right is wearing a Bad Robot Tshirt. I would know that logo anywhere. I'm a huge fan of JJ Abrams. For anyone that isnt familiar with Abrams works... hes the master of ARGs and Viral Marketing. Just look at his work for Cloverfield. I took part in that ARG for two !!ing years before the movie came out.

!!ing godamn yes i was watching this !! when they aired it...the nicca introduced it as a continuation of a series, and as soon as the konami logo showed up i !!ing knew it was MGS...throughout the whole trailer i was like yo that is definitely snake, no way it can be anyone else...now reading this !! it's obvious...and if it's two games then its probably phantom pain and the second will be phantom something else...omg i cannot wait for these !!ing games...mgs goat series

If it really is a game in the MGS series then it could only be Big Boss and it could only take part during the Metal Gear years which I believe would take part after where Ground Zeroes is suppose to be. He is the only one that has lost body parts and still be "alive"

I posted this in the VGA thread but one thing I noticed and makes this really weird is that when they did the rerun of the VGAs DIRECTLY after the original one ended, right when they were about to show this trailer again the whole screen went black and then the words "We're experiencing technical difficulties. Please stay tuned" came on. The VGAs came back right after the trailer ended.

I hope this is just some dream sequence where Snake sees Volgin... weird though... the scars they're comparing in the pics up there do look alike, but that'd mean that the trailer we saw a few months ago takes place after whatever this dream sequence is... Also it doesn't really make sense because in that other trailer, Snake did not have any noticeable scar on the right side of his head by his eye, but in that new video he has an obvious wound. I don't see why that small scar, which looks more like a scratch would be more pronounced in the original trailer than that bigger wound.

That's what I'm starting to think too. IMO its possible that:

1. MGS: Ground Zeroes is the prologue to MGS V: The Phantom Pain

2. MGS V is split into 2 games. Part 1 being Ground Zeroes and Part 2 being The Phantom Pain

3. The trailer is actually from MGS: Ground Zeroes and this Phantom Pain !! is a diversion to distract you from the fact that MGS: Ground Zeroes=Metal Gear Solid V (pure speculation but I can see it being true)
