Anyways. My friend built his own computer, and for a pretty damn good gaming machine you are looking at a good $1500-$2000. That IF you already have the keyboard, mouse, monitor, games, and accessories you will need.

Not to mention you will need a good head set, mouse and keyboard. That $19.95 walmart mouse and keyboard aren't going to cut it.

Im a huge PC gaming fan, well was I rarely play games now, but if I was to go back I sure wouldn't spend 2-3 G's unless I had A LOT of time, and willpower to even want to play that long.

Then he overspent. I built a well enough gaming PC for around 600 (This was in February 2012 Original thread is in the PC section). About the same I bought my PS3 for at launch. It can run Battlefield on high without a problem and about any game on the market right now and probably for the next 3 years easily.

people probably know how to, but it probably costs way more money to do it on consoles

Yeah I know it's a formatting and porting issue but someone should have figued it out by now. All there doing in going in and changing code on the PC. If somebody found out what format ps3 uses to code there games it could be done. I don't even know if you can find the disc info on a ps3 game but if you could, you could find the similarities in the code. Okay I hate coding, !! you ps3 for being difficult and !! you R* for making me wait for greatness. !! you too PC gamers for having fun with out us console users. Goodnight I'm salty.

theres all kinds of mods for gta

u can put real cars in there

not !!ing kamrys and khrysler 7000's

u can make times square real

u can make nearly any place robbable

character can be whatever you want

real billboards ads, signs, buildings

and there are hundreds of mods to enhance the graphics...GTA IV looks like your latest console game...and probably even better than what it can do

they have a star wars mod...its weird.

if there is any reason to replay GTA IV...this is it

shiiiit my laptop i paid a stack for about a year ago works perfectly fine with diablo 3 on my big screen..i got a gamepad pro controller that i use as a mouse as well..i dont play many pc games but im sure this could handle any game..is it on all HIGH settings no but is that needed? NO lol...
But when I play star ruler, i would like to have a computer that could run a thousand star system during the end game phase..the number of ships in a game like that is astronomical, each star containing 5-10 planets each containing few hundred/thousand ships..add that all up and have them all goin at each other..my laptop would slow the game to a crawl by that point

Exactly! Best part is you'll be able to play a bunch of games for years to come with that card! This is something a lot of people just don't understand. What I see on boxden is this - "okay I got a gtx 580 oh !! a gtx 680 came out!?!? I need to get that ASAP or else these new games won't run on my pc at all, my pc is so outdated!" Which is 100% wrong!

Oh yea I know that. But he made it seem like this was a GTA feature, and made it seem like it was something that was common on the PS3.

A very good gaming keyboard, mouse and headset you are looking at half of that price if not more that you listed. Lets say you want a nice looking case thats about $100 right around there, or more. That puts it around $400. Where is the monitor? Thats not including everything else. Nice monitor/TV with good gaming equipment and case will put you at $1000 easily, if not more.

His machine will run every game out there including crysis 2, WOW, etc at max settings like its nothing, not to mention what quality parts are you putting in your machine, that is the most important question.

Just because you built a machine for 750-1000 does not mean the parts are of the same quality as a machine with the same specs for 2000, or if it will perform as well, last as long, and be compatible with other hardware without any issues.
