That is JUST steam, this isn't including amazon's digital service which is huge right now or GOG or D2D or retail disc, how about Diablo 3? over 6.3 million copies sold, half that was day one and those numbers were from months ago.

You are the very definition of dumba#s and if it wasn't for MMO's? have you seen MMO's lately? they are a dying breed, they are nothing compared to what they were 5-6+ years ago. PC gaming continues to increase because it's cheap and accessible.

most countries outside NA do MMOs for farming, it's a business but you honestly believe that WOW is keeping PC alive you are dumber then the guy i was talking to. This isn't 2002 or 2005, MMO's aren't as big as you think.

You do realize WoW drops an expansion every 1.5 to 2 years right? Another 3-4 million copies sold. You do realize there is a new mmo every year selling at least a million box copies right? Hell Blizzard alone is selling 6 million copies a year of all their games combined. Those numbers include every one of WoWs expansions.

Crappy Star Wars, LOTRs, now Guild Wars 2. All the MMO's keep pouring in.

Let's not forget about a little game called League of Legends which now has more active users than WoW...More than 12 million that is log in once a day. PC gaming and the F2P platform are taking over, yet these console kids swear by their xbox or playstation. It's amusing...

WOW is the only big MMO on PC these days that's why i told that other idiot that MMOs are no longer the PC sellers.

It's guardian games (League, DOTA etc.) It's games like SC2, Torchlight 2, Diablo and other games. This isn't 2005, there is still a market for MMO's but it's no longer the giant monster it used to be and it's why star wars is failing, why conan failed, why every other mmo to take wow head on failed and why elder scrolls will fail.

pc gamers are the biggest basement dwelling geeks in existence. theyre one step below magic the gathering players and just above those smelly nerds that go to star wars conventions.

Just remember, every game you play on Console, aside from platform exclusive titles, I can play faster, smoother and with better graphics on my PC...just saying.

but it's not about Graphics it's about the experience...and they provide the EXACT sme experience...

every game has the same story and gameplay...you either like the story and gameplay or you don't...

PC doesn't enhance that aspect of it...just better graphics and framerate...and yes I am aware PC has Mods...but that's for !!ing around...that's not for the main story and game the way it was shipped...

This guy pointed out that he can play it faster and smoother than you can on consoles. Both apsects affect the gameplay. If you're playing some game with an inconsistent framerate on a console doesn't that have an impact on our gameplay experience?

And mods only enhance the experience. Hell, Minecraft is built entirely around mods, DayZ is a mod that has evolved into a whole new game. COUNTERSTRIKE is a mod itself! You can't just dismiss mods like they're only for !!ing around.

Let's not forget about the longevity that PC gaming provides for it's games. Xbox Live on the OG Xbox is gone, you can't play those games online on your xbox anymore. That doesn't happen with PC gaming because even if the servers shut down, the community can just pick them back up and start over. Oh, and let's not forget about community-made, bug-fixing patches; something Dead Island knows all too well.

Truth be told, PC multi-plats decimate console multiplats.

EDIT: Forgot on-disc DLC. PC players can just unlock that ish themselves.

what makes the console gameplay better than pc gameplay cause in the second sentence you just said they have the same story and gameplay.

True I guess gameplay isn't better on consoles as it's just personal preference really... I Prefer the console gaming experience...

Everytime i've gamed on a PC I just never get that feeling of this is so much better than consoles, and I have gamed on some Monster PC's that friends have or work PC's or wherever... and that's part of the Gameplay experience...so in MY expereince console provides a better gaming experience than PC...

DIO to some it does. A game looking better and running smoother does effect the experience for alot of people. I could care less about graphics give me a fun[..] game and I'm good. But paying $65 for a new game that isnt even the best version is what gamers are looking at especially if its a single player experience. I read that your game MP 3 runs better on the PC then consoles it might not be a big deal to you but to some its noticeable.
