| Mostly due to MMO's. If you took MMO's away or were able to play them on a console, PC gaming would be at the bottom of the barrel. | |

outside of North America and Europe MMOs are King I doubt that's what he meant though since they make money of subscriptions and not sales

You do understand the difference between sals and subcriptions right? and you do realize steam sales alone went up over 100% in 2011 making over 500 million first half of 2011 and increasing 100% this year? matter a fact steam sales % has increased around 100% every year for the last 7 years and do you know how many MMO's steam sales? i will give you a hint. You ready? 0. That is JUST steam, this isn't including amazon's digital service which is huge right now or GOG or D2D or retail disc, how about Diablo 3? over 6.3 million copies sold, half that was day one and those numbers were from months ago. You are the very definition of dumbass and if it wasn't for MMO's? have you seen MMO's lately? they are a dying breed, they are nothing compared to what they were 5-6+ years ago. PC gaming continues to increase because it's cheap and accessible.
most countries outside NA do MMOs for farming, it's a business but you honestly believe that WOW is keeping PC alive you are dumber then the guy i was talking to. This isn't 2002 or 2005, MMO's aren't as big as you think. Last edited by IronMaiden; 07-11-2012 at 09:06 PM..

| Im not surprised, the P.C community cant do anything really but go up at this point, there progressively better than consoles, and there only flaw has been the price. "And with the release of Blizzard’s Diablo III, May also saw the first time since July 2010 that the top-selling game overall was a PC-only title. That boosted PC video games sales up year-over-year to 230% or $80 million." but if u read the article the only reason there was such a high increase was because of ONE NERD-SUCKING game. [pic] Needless to say im not impressed. | |

I am[..]uming you don't know what the !! you are talking about since you talk about other countries when this has only to do with NA sales, a F2P or normal MMO in korea or china or chakalaka has nothing to do with the state of PC gaming. MMOs aren't keeping PC gaming alive because MMOs aren't as big as they used to be in NA/EU. And these sales reflect NA/EU.
