Is my PS3 controller messed up?

Okay not sure if I'm the only one having this issue or not but I haven't seen others complaining about it yet so ...

When I'm playing Black Ops 2 sometimes it automatically fires the weapon for me or does random !! and it's !!in annoying.

It will jump by itself, crouch, fire, switch weapons, etc...pretty much anything you can think of.

It happens a lot when I press L3 (left joystick to run). And occasionally at other times. But mainly when I'm trying to run it randomly does some other !!.

So is it my controller or what?

Tha controller is messed up. One of my controllers does the exact same thing with the L3 button. I've opened it up a couple time and cleaned the entire thing out but it only last for a few dayz then it will start to mess up again. I still havent figured out what is the exact cause of it.

I think it was happening with both of mine, but I'm gonna try out my other one and see if it's having the same problem. If not then it's definitely a controller issue.

Started happening a while ago with MW3 too.

Sounds to me like your PS3 is haunted. I'd recommend an exorcism.

Yeah fam your controller is jacked anytime it starts doing !! on its on its probably a malfunction. You can try cleaning it but like dude said it will only work for a while.

Sony controllers are expensive as !! IMO and NEVER EVER buy one used. I know that feeling of wanting to get down and game but your controller is !!ing the mood up. Trade in both of them !!s towards a new one preferably at Game Stop if not Best Buy. I'm not sure about Best Buy tho

i got 2 that do the same thing. Ive dropped them numerous times tho, but i still have another that is fine. If that opening up and cleaning works imma bring them both to game stop for some money towards a new one. Just tell em im an xbox fan boy and sold all my sony stuff, see how much they give me [pic]

I broke my OG Black Sixaxis cause it was doing this same !!. Pulling out my knife and !! when I try to ADS. I'd be shooting someone and I'd jump and switch to the knife and get shot in mid-air looking like a dumb[..] lol. Broke that !!, Now I'm using the clear Afterglow AP.2 . Joysticks are stiff as !! though, gotta use it a bit more and hopefully they loosen up.

Have you tried taking a pin or paperclip to the reset port on the back of the controller?

It's the small opening between the screw and the L2 button. Click in there to reset and then put the stick on charge.

That may save you $49.99!

my !! do that every once in a while also. I swear it doesnt do it for any game i have outside of BF3 or COD. Ill be beastin then all of a sudden my nicca will just start spinning in circles uncontrollably [pic]

If u take da controller apart u have to put rolled up tape in between da l3 joystick

Im pretty sure thats only fixes the random 4 flashes on the controller [pic]
