According to a former writer here at VGRevolution.com, Microsoft is contacting people who have been a member of the service for 10 years and obtaining address information in order to mail them a “special gift.”

So Xbox Just called me, saying they wanted to verify my address. They want to send me a ten year anniv gift! Sounds pretty exciting.

We’ve reached out to Major Nelson and Microsoft in order to verify this and to hopefully get an idea if this will be widespread. Details will follow as we receive them.

Yeah, they're asking for addresses so they can mail two quarters. [pic]

I just thought of something fishy with this, Microsoft should already have addresses on file. Wonder if this legit or not.

It's probably not, Microsoft is far too cheap to actually give you anything worthwhile. We're talking the same company that gave their users $.25 for their birthday, gives them 1-2% back on purchases if they meet a certain criteria, and hides most services that are free behind a paywall.

We're also talking about the same company that gave every attendee to their E3 conference a few years back the new model of the 360.

I wouldn't doubt them giving their super loyal 10 year members something decent.

we're also talking about the same company that denied such a problem existed until it was brought to the attention of he masses and when inquired bout it, went on record stating "things break"

Somebody produce evidence of this Sony thing that happened last gen. It wasn't until I came here that I heard of it. Hell I didn't know anybody with ps2 problems. Mine broke not long after I copped my Wii though. Discovery driven wouldn't open but no think that's because I was trying to mod it and messed up.

You probably never heard of it because you most likely never owned a PS2.

[pic] the PS2 failure rate was horrendous. Everyone I knew had to get their PS2 repaired for disc tray and laser problems. Like I said, it seems like you didn't start gaming until this gen, which makes it all the more pathetic that you've developed such a strong affinity for Sony -- you weren't even around for their glory years [pic]

PS: when did you get your PS2?

I don't think jizzman ever started gaming to be honest I've yet to see any solid proof he even owns a console

and I always[..]umed he just had some comic book backstory like he was coming back from the grocery store with his moms when an xbox 360 jumped them at gun point and made him watch as it[..]d his moms

the trauma was so deep it made him lose all his hair, and on that day he vowed that he will dedicate his life to trolling the 360 on message boards
