Linux/update???

If you don't have Linux installed, don't plan on installing it, and don't care about eventual workarounds for custom firmware then it doesn't apply to you. Update it and forget about it. Sony took away the OTHER O\S option in fear of an exploit for backup games eventually being able to be played on the system.

It is an open source operating system. It runs PCs and devices sorta like Windows does, but in a different way... to keep it simple.

well thanks for the information....my boi had me a lil worried about some sh*t so i had to get all the information...

so it looks like im bout to update my ps3 cuz i dont use none of that other sh*t....like i said i just buy my games and play em....
