Killzone: Shadow Fall Runs at 30 fps in 1080p

Last night's gameplay shown during the reveal of k#llzone: Shadow Fall was impressive to say the least. One question on gamers' minds though was what the resolution Shadow Fall was running at. As we've seen with this generation, developers tended to opt for 720p - or often sub-HD - resolutions with 30 fps for their games; that doesn't seem to be the case this time around.

German gaming site, 4player, got the chance to catch up with Guerilla Games after Sony's conference was finished and get some information on k#llzone: Shadow Fall. Guerilla Games stated that Shadow Fall will be 30fps at a 1080p resolution. Seeing how beautiful Shadow Fall looked last night in such an early state, we're hoping that more developers opt to take advantage of next-generation hardware by delivering full HD games.

Same here. I can't see the difference between 30 and 60 fps so it doesn't affect me.

Meh. I can tell the difference between the two quite easily and k#llzone series already runs slow as it is.

ya'll tripping... the diff between 30 and 60 is noticeable

but.. as long as that 30 fps is LOCKED i'm beyond cool with it.

I'm not stanning anything... I didn't like KZ 3 AT ALL... I'm not even a big fan of the series although KZ 2 was decent...

but this looks way better then KZ 3 did/does... Helen Keller could tell you that...

Get a PC and play a game in 60fps and come back and say that.

60fps is amazingly smoother. Even a blind person can tell the difference.

Console kids have never experienced the 60fps out of COD so i can't really blame them.

Once you play games at high res with 60fps you never want to go back. Some games can implement motion blur in a good way where a locked 30fps will feel somewhat like 60fps, something similar to Forza Horizon, a 30fps game that feels 60 but there is a clear difference. I can give this a pa#s since this will probably be a launch game but if we are going to have to go through another 6 years of 30fps i will just stick to PC again and grab a PS4 at a discounted price to play the exclusives that interest me.

I have no reason to pay to play highly downgraded games.

i'm not getting a PS 4 anyway so it don't matter to me...

I'm cool with that. Maybe devs will eventually get to native 1080p at 60 fps (without sacrificing too much graphical detail) on consoles. If not, they'll have the games upscale to 1080p to get a smooth 60 fps.

there is a difference between 30fps to 60fps and the reason why some of your are saying you dont see the difference is cause you never really seen it with first person shooter games with consoles. game on a pc and try the different frame rates between 30fps and 60fps and you will definitely see the difference.

sony was saying how similar the architecture and hardware is to a high end gaming pc yet one of the flag ship titles isnt running at 60fps.
