Yeah, Nintendo shouldn't have done that. I just hope that by the time I get mine, they allow updating via USB stick like the PS3. I remember before I picked up my ps3 from gamestop, i downloaded the update to a stick, then when i got home, i loaded it from there, took like 2-3 minutes tops to download and install. It was beautiful.

Well obviously everything is not gonna be available to him but if he opened the system and wanted to play the *keyword*WII U games I'm sure his parents got him he can do that. He doesnt have to do the long[..] update immediately.

I'm sure lil man is not clamoring over this wii u so he can put together his damn wii avatar. And if he wants to play those old[..] wii games he could hook up his wii which I'm sure he still has.[pic]

i dont have kids and not a xmas person but that seemed real like it made me happy, that kid appreciated that gift, and was like damn pops this cost some real money....
now on the other hand he could have got the family a membership to planet fitness

Exactly, as long as he didnt get that ONE game he is fine. If he got Mario Bros U or Nintendo land or anything else he's fine to play his game for an hour or two before he bothers updating.

I remember being that kid so it's nice to see that they had a great Christmas. If I ever have any kids, being able to provide without money being an issue, and getting that kind of appreciative reaction, just like my parents have always done for me.
