I have a dumb question...
But it's a legit question and I really want to know.

Why are war games so popular?

I, personally, have never been that into them. They're ok, but nothing that can keep me interested. I think it's personal taste, but even then I don't see how people by the masses like them. Just like halo. It doesn't leave many gamers for us non-war gamers lol. Just wondering, no hate to war gamers at all!

Haha! Good enough reason for me. I guess the other games get boring to others. I myself get bored after a while. I need to get me a ps3/360 as it seems most people ain't gonna chunk the dollar out to get a good pc. What do you play on and is there alot of players on the "Shoot s**t" games?

360 is where it's at for shooters

Halo, COD, Gears, Rainbow Six Vegas, Left 4 Dead

the 360 controller is a great controller for shooting games, and yea theres alotta ppl. I read somewhere that Modern Warfare 2 for the 360 is outselling the PS3 version 2:1

I usually wasn't into them until I got a 360 and Live... It's a lot better when you play with a whole lot of people in the multiplayer.

Sweet!. Maybe I can save up 500 and get both of them . I had a mad catz wireless 360 USB controller that I bought so I could play on my pc (took it back because I needed the funds), but I must say that was one of the best controllers I've ever had and used in my life.

shooting AI will never be as fun as killing a real life opponent... when you understand its an intelligent human making their own decisions behind that player model suddenly s**t becomes real.

Noooo, There is a ton of non-war games, but as for as online play goes, it's not often to get a big group of people because most are playing COD and other war games.

P.S. I said Gamers, Not games lol. You must have mis-read it. Meaning alot of gamers are going over to war games and not leaving many non-war gamers to play other games.

Lol why are you listening to that fanboy if your just now about to get a 360 then your 360 will have an even lower failure rate. Sony fanboys must not knoof the YLOD the ps3 has. Atleast M$ fixes your system for free Sony charges you 150.

I have both system neither one has gave me problems well psn does sometimes but hell the only system to fail on me was my DS's brought and returned 7 of them, all had L or R button failures.

i would reccomend you get a 360 also strictly for xbox live its better than psn and alot more ppl are on live i have both i buy single players for the p3 and the multiplayers for the 360

If you're planning to spend 500, why not just buy a quad core pc from hp and play MW2 on it? There's gonna be more players which = more kills.

(Unfortunately, i'm getting it for ps3 first cuz I'm working on getting a new pc. Which = more deathstreaks than killstreaks. I can't wait /sarcasm).
