| How do you change PS3 output resolution? |
| By O-Z hates da OC - 01-31-2008, 09:19 PM - Boxden > BX GameSpot My !! says its only displaying at 480i. Now my TV should be able to display 1080i or 720p. I am trying to get either of those to work. Anyway I go to display settings and I change it to composite cables and it prompts me to accept the change...and I do it. Then there is a screen that says select all output types your tv is compatible with. So I do that, and I test them for 30 seconds...and they work, but there is no way to save the change? You can only test it, or exit out without saving? Are the games I am playing all in 480i cause thats what it says, or do they automatically just play in the highest resolution you are compatable with? |

| First, get some component cables, or an HDMI cable. Then, try unchecking the 1080i resolution. There really is no need to play your games in that setting. 720p should work best, if I'm not mistaken. Last edited by WhoSentU; 01-31-2008 at 10:10 PM.. | |

| Then go to the settings and test out what res your TV supports, I leave it all checked, XMB at 1080p by default. | |

Still, when I check the !! off, and it displays it...there is no way to save it. The only way to leave the screen is pressing O and then it says you havent saved changes. | ||
