CSR – Competitive Skill Rank

We have been working closely with several internal teams on optimizing the ranking system, and working to integrate it into your Waypoint player profile, accessible on web, phone and tablet.

More Details:
• You will have a unique CSR visible per playlist.
• Your highest CSR across all playlists will be promoted in the player profile on Halo Waypoint.
• CSR uses familiar 1-50 scale.
• When CSR launches, everyone will start with a fresh rating.

Our targeted launch date for CSR is April 2013 [pic], and we will be re-configuring some of our most competitive playlists to accommodate the launch of the feature.

We are focused on creating a seamless companion for pro and expert players without making a highly visible attractive nuisance for casual abusers and cheats. I asked the team to make a mock-up (which is attached to this post), but please note this is not final.

Here are some details about the ranked playlist that's coming

As we first told you in the 12.12.12 Halo Bulletin, ( http://blogs.halowaypoint.com/Headli...in-121212.aspx ) we have been hard at work on a competitive playlist featuring heavily modified versions of Slayer, CTF, Extraction and King of the Hill. This playlist will launch before CSR (mid-February) and we envision it as both the go-to place for competitive play and the premier playlist to get your 50 in. We’ve been paying close attention to the competitive community’s settings while building this playlist, and will continue to do so both pre- and post-playlist launch. We will share the first outline of the settings next week to collect community feedback and perfect the competitive playlist before going live. The name of this playlist is still TBD - please feel free to give us suggestions.

Some early details on this playlist:

4 vs 4
Pre-set game loadouts
Forced respawn timers
No instant respawn
Ordnance on re-supply timers
Join-in-progress off
No split-screen play
Friendly fire on
Max party size 4 with big party matching enforced
No guests allowed

We’ll be keeping a close eye on AGL this weekend and the settings they are using at this tournament. Please continue to provide feedback as it helps us fine-tune and perfect your Matchmaking experience, and thank you, as always, for your continued support.

I wonder is this going on right now without the official CSR mode in the game? I play halo4 and never care about my k#ll [rip] ratio, I could be 20 and 10 or 7 and 35 and would not care. But when I am in a game with my cosuin, he is the leader of the party, it seems he has skilled players than in my games. I have bad games in his parties, when I play alone I do 100x better

never played halo 2 online so I cant agree or disagree with that statement [pic]

the only way to play it online now is if you know one of the few people who kept the game playing on their xbox all of this time

because your rank was actually indicative of your skill

in halo 3 everybody i know was at least a 40 in like a week or 2

in halo 2, after YEARS, if you were really good you had to scratch and claw to get like a 30 something and then if you have 1 or 2 bad games you will drop right back down.

if anybody was legit a level 40 or higher they were a !!ing god
