'Grifball' MP mode added to Halo 4

Grifball is taking centre stage at PAX this week as 343 Industries has revealed the game-type developed by Burnie Burns of Rooster Teeth (Red vs Blue) will in fact be a playable multiplayer mode for Halo 4. If for some reason you didn’t play this insanely enjoyable variant in Halo 3, Grifball pits two teams against one another fighting over possession of a b0mb (the ball) and scoring by delivering the ball to the opposing teams base. Think of it as Rooster Teeth Rugby.

In the mod, opposing teams hustle a "grifball" back and forth on the map attempting to stuff it in the opposing side's goal. Grifball features two weapons, an instant-kill hammer and a sword. The hammer sends the grifball flying, the sword is less effective but k!lling a ballcarrier with it transfers possession of the grifball. The game is basically best-of-nine in scoring goals, but scoring a goal detonates the grifball and blows up the ballcarrier.

I love Grifball, it's mad underrated but 1 of the best game types in the history of online multiplayer. I was one of the pioneers of this !!, like the michael jordan of the grifball world, straight unstoppable. Dudes would see me do a move or use a strategy and a week later I would see everybody else try to emulate it then I'd switch it up [pic]
